Family Entertainment Center
According to the White Hutchinson, a Family Entertainment Center (FEC) is a community-based facility. FECs are usually located near residential areas. A successful FEC needs to have an average annual frequency of visits of more than 6 times. The average length of a visit ranges from 2 to 2.5 hours and the average spending per visit ranges from $8 to $14.
An FEC needs to include multiple anchor attractions in various categories to attract and retain visitors. Examples of these attractions are bowling lanes, skating rinks, laser tag facilities, miniature golf courses, climbing walls, children’s edutainment experiences, video arcades, simulator / motion theater attractions, etc. In addition, birthday party and food and beverage facilities are also major parts of an FEC due to the large percentage of income they generate (White Hutchinson).
According to Bederka (2014), there has been a decrease in participation rate and average spending in FECs since 2003. However, there is “no (spending) change in the top 20 percent of income households” on FEC facilities. This signals a potential market for an FEC in the Ladera Ranch community as the average income of this town is nearly double the average income of the state of California. The market profitability for this business also proves to be stable during economic and technological changes. Moreover, Bederka (2014) also highlights that the FEC market is “shifting to both
It’s no doubt that creating a family oriented theme park based on popular, beloved cartoon characters and imagination was a good idea. From Cinderella’s castle to the famous Main Street, U.S.A, there’s something extraordinary lying around every corner. Walt Disney World, other wise known as “the happiest place on earth”, or the place “where dreams come true”, was founded by a man with a dream of creating a place where children and parents could spend time together while making amazing memories. However, this extravagant amusement park is only one of the major accomplishments of Walt Disney.
Traditional homes were founded on the premise that there were two married parents in home owning, mortgage paying with a car in the driveway cookie cutter advertisement. Life in today’s world is not as pretty or as a slick advertising copy from the 50’s and 70’s would have you believe. Social class can be the difference in livelihood based off of economic status and also varies greatly by zip code, even within the same state over a period time. Today this disparity in wealth and economic fluidity is something still vitally affected by social class; often traditionally associated with a lack or abundance of money or privilege of a higher social standing by one’s peers or society in general.

They move often, one day dreaming to live in a real house, one they don't have to share, one with their own yard, with stairs that are not hallway stairs, etc. They finally move into this beaten up house on Mango street, Her family is in love with it and act like it's their dream, however it does not meet Esperanza`s standards. Despite her dislike for this house and her feelings of it not being her home her and her family grow drasticly and have major milestones in their life in this house, for example
Livestock industries, mainly for cattle, sheep, goats, and hog production developed in Spanish, Texas. Farming was largely limited to small garden plots adjacent to missions and settlements. By 1727 a 2 and a half mile irrigation ditch was watering pastures and gardens. Ranching and farming expanded slightly in Texas over the next 100 years, since Indians dominated the land.

Perhaps the most famous aspect of Falcon Heights is its status as home of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Each year the Minnesota State Fair draws in over a million visitors, and is lovingly known as the “Great Minnesota Get-Together”. The largest state fair in the nation according to average daily attendance, the Minnesota State Fair is no small feat. During the nearly two weeks that the fair is going on, citizens of Falcon Heights get to interact with people from all around the Midwest while showcasing their beautiful city. Unfortunately, California still has not started the construction of their high-speed rail project, but this shows, early in the development of the project, that high-speed rail will create a plethora of jobs. While there are a limited number of spots in the grant (Mumma), “But there will be thousands of jobs that we need to get people ready for,” Eager added” (Sheehan). Lee Ann Eager is the executive director of the Fresno County Economic Development Corp, and while being interviewed by Sheehan, she states that there will be many more job opportunities available once construction begins, and then once the system is up and running, there will be thousands of jobs that need to be created to keep the rail system up and running safely and efficiently. A maintenance station for example, could house around 1,500 permanent jobs, and also be a magnet to further development for high-speed rail, which will in turn create more jobs. Jobs for the construction of new power plants needed to power the high-speed rail system will also be available, as well as the jobs created to maintain and use the power plant. With the need for more environmentally friendly ways of creating electricity, more companies will need to be created to build and provide maintenance for these new plants, and also for research for better ways of utilizing the different renewable energies. All of these factors mean more and more
During this week I learned much important information from reading my classmates Nicholas Ellis and Tracy Zwijacz primary task response. Nicholas mentioned that attractions and entertainments play important role to increasing popularity. Example, in Biloxi, Mississippi population increases every day. Tourists have so much to do when traveling to Biloxi for shopping, gambling, concerts and sightseeing. In Tracy primary task I learned that the National Park Service plays an important role in the preservation not just for Nation’s great forest but also for the endangered all species and plants. I learned that the National Park in Michigan offer cross country skiing, snowmobiling, camping, biking, and Elk tourism. Michigan has a lot of attraction
