The twenty-first century is the century of developing everything on this planet, which has been developed by the human. Pinguecula and pterygium are more common in middle aged or older people who spend a lot of time in the sun. These diseases can avoid risk factors and treatment by wearing sunglasses, wearing a hat or using an umbrella. Approximately 1.75 million Americans suffer from vision loss associated with the disease (All About Vision 1). The leading cause of blindness in people over the age of 60, Macular Degeneration, exists in two types (National Eye Institute 1). Both the wet and dry versions of the disease have similarities in risk factors, but differ in symptoms and treatments.

The first disease I’m going to mention is Glaucoma, according to Web MD last updated in 2015, Glaucoma is a condition that causes damage to your eye's optic nerve and gets worse over time. Scientists all over the world have been widely researching to find out ways in which the ozone layer is being destroyed through human actions. The ozone layer is gradually being destroyed by ozone depleting chemicals. These chemicals include chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydroflourocarbons (HFCs), methyl bromide, halons, methyl chloroform and carbon tetrachloride among others (Ryding 173). These chemicals are used locally in coolants, fire extinguishers, solvents, pesticides, aerosol propellants and foaming agents.
We all know that without sunlight, Life is impossible on earth. Its spectrum extends from about 290nm to 3000nm.Human body use sunlight to make vitamin D in body but It need s small amount of energy but too much exposure to sunlight can result skin damage I.e. sunburn, premature skin ageing, allergies And can even cause skin cancer. This is caused by the ultra violet region of the sun light as shown in fig.
Many of us might not understand how important the ozone layer is to our planet. So that is why we should take more care of our environment so we don’t deplete our ozone layer even more. To some this topic may not be important and they don’t understand what affects these dangerous chemicals can have on our environment. Hopefully reading this they will want to take better care of our planet for our future generations.
