Unit 3: Health, safety and security in health and social care. This assignment will look at incidents and emergencies that can happen in a health and social care setting. Within my assignment I will be explaining possible priorities and responses when dealing with two incidents or emergencies in a health and social care setting. I will be discussing health, safety or security concerns that may arise from the incident or emergency. Then I will be discussing how I would respond to them. An emergency is defined as “a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.” (Oxford University). An incident is defined as “a relatively insignificant event that might have serious consequences.” (Collins, 2014). …show more content…
As soon as possible I would then write what happened down in an incident book because if anything major was to go wrong with Anna and I missed something out in the incident book, I could be blamed for mistreating Anna, so I ensure I write down as much detail as I can. I chose to do this because because Anna’s safety comes first. My last priority is to ensure that all the residents in the home receive the right care and all medication is given accordingly to the client’s needs and to ensure that staff is giving the right doses to the right clients. This is an important thing to do because it’s going to minimise any incidents in relation to the client’s health for example an overdose or incorrect medication. Another improvement would be to ensure that all the staff have the proper training in order to give the care that is required and to exceed the minimum standards of care, doing this will ensure that residents are more safe because they will be under the care of trained professionals who know what they’re
This presentation is going to talk about person- centred care, confidentiality, respecting privacy and dignity and protecting from risks and harm. The common core principles are important to every Health and Social Care setting as they provide a basis for a general understanding of promoting good mental health and recognising signs of poor mental health among everyone receiving care and support. The aim of care home are to meet the identified needs of individuals who live in that home. An older person might need to live in that care home for years. It is important for staff to be aware of responsibilities in delivering care to support the individuals who live at that home. These common principles of health will help develop the workforce that respond confidently to the individuals and supporting the life they are leading.
These snacks are offered freely and never forced upon a child. We’re not to bring in unhealthy snacks for ourselves or eat in front of the children, and if we have unhealthy food it must be kept in a cupboard hidden and put away.
Assess strategies and methods used to minimise the harm to children, young people and their families where abuse is confirmed (M3). Justify responses where child maltreatment or abuse id suspected or confirmed, referring to current legislation and policies (D2)

M3: Discuss health, safety or security concerns arising from a specific incident or emergency in a health or social care setting. In a health and social care setting such as a hospital there are many incidents and emergencies that can occur, as I have already discussed in my P4. One emergency I have chosen to discuss in further detail is in the case of a ‘fire’, and the health, safety and security concerns that could arise in this situation. In the case of a fire, standard procedures and priorities include the evacuation of all individuals inside the building, i.e. the hospital. There are many concerns that

Since 2012 there has been 3 cases of adolescent suicide in Hillsborough County linked to bullying via cyber or face to face bullying. The most recent case was in 2015, a shuttering story that shook many families, and teens in our county. These cases could all have been prevented if caught early, and treated with the correct care of a guardian or administration. For this recommendation report I chose a middle, high school to research their anti- bullying rules, and ask if they could implement my ideas. As a whole Hillsborough County has a zero tolerance rule against bullying, but are they implementing action to keep this zero tolerance rule?
The internet is the basis of the digital age we are in. Should internet be free, or should it not be? With the growing need for internet, it is becoming more difficult for poor people and those who have no access to internet whatsoever to keep up, and are falling behind. I think that the internet should be free because not everyone is able to afford it, and some live in places where it doesn’t even exist. By making the internet free, our economy will also benefit off of it.
MODULES ALSO REDUCE THE DUPLICATION OF CODE WITHIN A PROGRAM..THIS BENEFIT OF USING MODULES IS KNOWN AS code reuse BECAUSE YOU ARE WRITING THE CODE TO PERFORM A TASK ONCE AND THEN REUSING IT EACH TIME YOU NEED TO PERFORM A TASK.
That gives the land lord and tenet both a duty in order to have a good relationship with eachother. The land lord has the obligation to make the following repairs in a timly manor. Emergency repairs such as a gas leak, flooding, defective furnace, or major roof damage, Major problems such as a defective water heather, clogged drain, heating problem, or more, Minor problems such as defective lighting, locks, peeling paint, dripping faucets, and more. The tenant has obligations for maintenance under Michigan landlord tenant law such as Pay the rent on time, Keep the rental property in safe and sanitary condition, Immediately notify the landlord of any minor or severe maintenance problems, Exterminate any insects that appeared after the tenant moved in, Leave the rental property in good condition besides for normal wear and tear. I feel the tenet is protected the most when the tenet can with hold rent from the land lord for not making repairs in a timely manor.
What does one picture when you hear the word “dystopia”. Does one act as if it is the same as our modern life. Or, quite opposite, does one feel they are very different. If oneself thought either of these things, neither of them are completely wrong. Our modern-day society may be on a slight downfall, but the effects of a dystopia are far worse than our reality.
I am a long-time resident of our city, and I am writing to express my concern about the recent discussion with others in our community regarding the possibility of high levels of lead in our drinking water. While, I am hoping that the town takes the required actions to make sure our drinking water is safe, I would like to remind you of the long history of drinking
