Task 2. Do personal research on bullying implications in Hillsborough Schools.
Since 2012 there has been 3 cases of adolescent suicide in Hillsborough County linked to bullying via cyber or face to face bullying. The most recent case was in 2015, a shuttering story that shook many families, and teens in our county. These cases could all have been prevented if caught early, and treated with the correct care of a guardian or administration. For this recommendation report I chose a middle, high school to research their anti- bullying rules, and ask if they could implement my ideas. As a whole Hillsborough County has a zero tolerance rule against bullying, but are they implementing action to keep this zero tolerance rule?
I chose Tomlin Middle

First idea I want to propose to the two schools is have staff specifically trained in identifying signs of bullying. The administration needs to chose a teacher from each department to be in charge of looking out for these specific characteristics kids express when being bullied so we can stop it before it worsens. The school can pay for one teacher to go to a seminar on bullying to be trained then be able to come back to train the other teachers chosen in order to keep the budget low. The second idea is to have a “safe zone” within the schools. Kids who experience bullying within the actual school feel trapped because they cannot just leave the school escaping the bully. There should be a place in the administration offices or guidance office where a student can go to when experiencing bullying, and no there will be an adult to talk to there where they can feel safe. Both of these proposals are very realistic, amd I firmly believe if both schools implement could help kids feel protected from bullying, and help end or prevent the current bullying going
D2 – evaluate the role of multi-agency working to reduce the risk of abuse of adults, with reference to legal frameworks, regulations, working strategies and procedures.
Anti Bullying Policy – Schools, by law, have to have a policy in place to prevent all forms of bullying between pupils. These policies need to comply with Education and Inspections Act 2006 which gives head teachers the ability to discipline pupils for poor behaviour even if it occurs outside of school premises or under the lawful control of school staff. It also provides that every school must reward and encourage good behaviour. These should be communicated to all pupils, staff and parents and be part of the behaviour policy. There is no single solution that will suit all schools that will deal with all forms of bullying as there is soo many e.g. virtual bullying, physical bullying and mental bullying. It is left to staff and sometimes parents to come together and gather
I was wondering if you could contact the residents in 1103 about their two dogs barking?
Research indicates that as many as 13% [Smith 2005] of primary care visits have missing clinical information. A patient's health information is potentially distributed across a wide range of locations including their general practitioner, hospitals, imaging centers, specialists and allied health practices.
The services I have talked about are regulated in different ways. I had a look at the Cambridge Children’s centre and Cambridge counselling service. The professionals I looked at where a social worker and a counsellor. A social worker is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council. Counselling services are regulated by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Assess strategies and methods used to minimise the harm to children, young people and their families where abuse is confirmed (M3). Justify responses where child maltreatment or abuse id suspected or confirmed, referring to current legislation and policies (D2)
M3: Discuss the difficulties that may arise when implementing anti-discriminatory practice in health and social care settings.
Evaluate the skills and techniques required to successfully perform in two different land-based outdoor and adventurous activities
To be an effective leader who can recruit, hire, support their staff, one must have various skills and leadership styles. Having a visionary leadership style
A risk assessment is an important step in protecting residents and staff as well as complying with the law. The assessment helps focus on the risks that have the potential to cause harm and in this context, from the harm of acquiring an infection. In most instances, straightforward measures can readily control risks e.g. ensuring that clean and dirty linen are segregated to prevent cross contamination. The law does not expect that all risks will be eliminated, but requires that all steps that are reasonably practicable are taken to protect residents. The risk assessment is simply a careful examination of what could cause harm to residents in the workplace, including the risk of infection so that an assessment can be made on
For this task, I am going to explain how two national initiatives promote anti-discriminatory practice.
In terms of choosing my sampling method, I chose quota sampling. This is because we chose to survey 30 people in total but divide the group into genders; males and females. Therefore; 15 males and 15 females were surveyed. This was an important sampling method to choose because it was quite accurate. It was less biased as we decided to interview both genders, leading to varied results for our market research team. We also chose to have quota sampling, because it was the most efficient sampling method which gave us the most accurate information we set out to find. I feel it was important to have more than one division; that being males and females. This is purely because males and females have much diverse views and opinions and also priorities such as; males being more interested in booking rooms and assessing the online services, where the females would also enjoy the online services, but would show more interest in the facilities available, therefore it was quite key to find out how each gender progressed through the surveys. I feel that quota sampling is much more accurate than other sampling methods such as random sampling. This is because random sampling will leave the researchers with a range of results, which will be harder to compare or formulate decisions
