After reading these results of the VIA Survey of Character Strengths I believe it reflected what I also thought of myself. It is not only important to be assessed to have these traits, it is also necessary to let them be incumbent in my personality so as to really captivate the people I have to lead to success.
According to Kotter (1990), “Leadership seeks to produce organizational change by: developing a vision of the future and strategies for making necessary changes; communicating and explaining the vision, and motivating and inspiring people to attain the vision.”
“Fairness, equity, and justice” reassure team mates and are the core of any group that aspire to work in cohesion to achieve common goals. I recognize that I hate injustice and I strongly believe people in a team should be given equal chances. I was really surprise that “Love of learning” came among the last qualities; I am so fond of learning that I

After completing the strength finder 2.0 assessment, the five strengths that were identified were Focus, Achiever, Learner, Intellection and Discipline.
According to the results of the Strengths Quest assessment, my top five themes are adaptability, achiever, maximizer, strategic, and empathy. I must say that I found out a lot about myself through completing this assessment. While it seemed to be new information, it turned out that I have noticed these characteristics in myself over my academic career.
What is leadership? When examining this question it is important to understand what it means to be a leader within an organization. “Leadership is the influencing process of leaders and followers to achieve organizational objectives through change (Achua, 2010, p. 6). Leaders serves people best when they help them develop their own initiative and good judgment, enable them to grow, and help them become better contributors (Thomas S Bateman, 2010, p. 66). Unlike management leadership flows from the core of a personality and cannot be taught; although leadership can be learned and may be enhanced through coaching and mentoring. Leadership involves unique processes that are distinguishable from basic management processes (Thomas S Bateman,
Each and every person is different, as is their character, but the character can reveal many characteristics about that person’s life. I believe that I have valueable charcter. Some examples include: determination and diligence. If I set my sight upon a goal I know I can reach, I don’t stop until that goal ss within my grasp. Staying focused on a goal is important, but investing time and effort to finish tasks is also important. When there are certain tasks assigned to me I don’t sit and procrastinate especially if I know that people are relying on me. If I am to be accepted into NHS I believe that I can influence others to never give up and always stay focused on their
I like to be Faced with any given scenario they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.. I improve things about myself and other people or situations. I am “fascinated by problems that puzzle, confound or frustrate most people”. My other strength is Belief. I have certain core values that are unchanging. My family is my top priority and I am driven by my talents. The strengthsquest helped me understand who really I am. I am always been an independent person who wants to complete every wish my family dreams about. A person who’s only goal in life is to make my life proud. It helped me understand what are my quantiles that my friends and family like about me. It showed me what are my strong point are like my beliefs. It also helped me what my strong leadership skills

I usually have a sense of who I am and my strengths, but I can never seem to express it in words. So this evaluation of my strengths really helped to do that for me. My top five themes are strategic, context, discipline, consistency and futuristic. And it says that those who are strategic can spot patterns in any given situation and create solutions. I agree on parts of this because I like thinking about cause and effect, but I don’t think about the multiple solutions and then pick the best. For context, it is those who think about the past and use that to connect it with the present. I do this every day. I’m always thinking so that is probably why I do like talking about the past with other individuals. And yes, problematic issues, like wars, do interest me. For discipline, it is those who like structure and routine. I can’t believe how accurate the discipline trait is for me. The whole passage described me so well, and when going over it in the book, I am just blown away by its accuracy. I’ve always believed in equality and wouldn’t want to give someone an advantage over another. I love it when things go smoothly and easy for myself and others. I am an orderly person so the 1, 2, 3, step methods are easy for me to follow and preferable. For consistency, it is those who try to treat others equally and live the world by being consistent on their beliefs. This passage also described me so very well. The first part of it was quite similar to
I’ve taken strength-based surveys before and I am always fascinated with what they allow me to learn about myself. Rarely have I’ve taken a strength-based where I didn’t learn something new about myself. There was a point in my life where I had wished I paid more attention to what the information told me; if I had paid attention my school career would’ve gone a completely different route. I eventuality got to the point where I feel like I was on the right path, there was just added bumps in the road that I learned from. This was the first time where I’ve taken a strength-based survey that listed my strengths out the way it does. It was interesting to read each character strength and see how it really relates in my life.
The VIA character strengths, in my opinion, also helps people recognize everyone has strengths and weaknesses. One person I look up to is my twin brother Charlie. I admire his outgoing personality which enables him to connect instantly with others and take risks. I realize that I admire him because he possesses
Based off my result after taking the VIA Survey of Character Strengths survey my first strength is my judgment, my effective use of critical thinking, and my open-mindedness. I agree with this because I actually spend more time thinking things through and assessing the cost and rewards than I do with the action I was originally thinking about. The Second Strength was Fairness, equity, and justice. I do agree with this strength but its description is not how I would describe it. I treat all people fairly and how I would want to be treated. I may give everyone a chance but ultimately I believe you get what you give; if you treat others good will get the same in return. I completely agree with the third strength- Hope, optimism, and future-mindedness.
After taking the assessment, my top five strengths were identified to be: restorative, empathy, developer, adaptability and strategic (in that order). A person that is restorative enjoys facing new
After taking the StrengthsFinder survey, I was surprised at what I found in some instances. This survey was actually the most accurate of any quiz I have taken previously when describing my strengths and it even nailed many of my personality traits. According to the StrengthsFinder survey, my top five themes, or strengths are Learner Maximizer, Arranger, Responsibility, and Developer (Gallup, 2012).
After receiving my results of the StrengthsFinder 2.0 test, I’m left to reflect upon my personality and analyze the accuracy of the test’s evaluation. Following are my strengths:
Leadership, according to theorist John Kotter, “…is about… coping with change” (Kotter, 1990, p. 4). By this definition, one should consider leadership to be the product of change in context and the ways in which the response to this change informs strategy. “Leadership is…a set of traits, qualities and behavior possessed by the leader that encourage the participation, development, and
