On July 28th, 1914, the first war was brought to our world. All because of an assassination. At this time, we thought the only resolution was war and that war would save us. Among the years, we have bounced between different war periods and times where people just want peace. There is a time that we need to fight for our rights and stand up, but there is also a time where we need to stand down and just deal with what is going on. Because of our veterans, most of the world has been living in peace because our soldiers fight the wars for us and there is so much thanks in the world for that. It is so very wrong that there are veterans out there that are homeless or are even struggling to get food. Not to mention all of the medical bills because of former injuries while serving our country. There is no reason they should have to worry about the cost of an injury that happened when they were serving our
Veterans are important because they have given us our freedom from tyrants for the past 237 years. Vets fought against the oppressors from of England during the War of Independence and the War of 1812. They continue to fight today! The estimated amount of casualties from the War of Independence was around 50,000! That means over 50,000 people died to stop England’s tyranny, in just one of two wars! In attacking Americans in the War of 1812, England sent ten times as many troops in just the last six months, than they had during all the years before. That is how much the greedy British wanted to steal the United States of America from us! Had the Veterans not stood their ground, we would all be French
Honoring our Veterans is so important. They fought for us and some died fighting for peace. Veterans Day is also known as Remembrance Day, a day to remember those who died, but also celebrate those who fought on and lived through the battles. We should keep honoring our Veterans because war is not over. We still have people fighting for us right now. Veterans has been celebrated for so many years and in 1938, the day had so many ceremonies and parades that Congress marked it an official holiday.
Our flag stands tall and people say that it blows with the last breathe of every soldier who has given their life to our country. On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day on the eleventh month in 1918 an armistice occurred. This soon became a federal holiday in 1938. Veterans are important to our past and future because they stand up for what is right. They put their life on the line to help defend our country. Although they have families of their own, they have stepped up to defend everyone elses family in the U.S. too. Veterans fight for our country and we should be very grateful for them.
Are veterans won the war, and gave us freedom to do or have rights of speech. Veterans gave us freedom so we don't have to be there slaves, and beaten if u did not do there work. Freedom is very grateful and now we have faith and liberty. They fight to let us have that freedom , and they will never give up. Over all we should think them for are freedom without those who fought we would not be able to

Due to the timeless virtues of the men they portray whether its Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, or any other confederate war heroes, the Confederate Monuments should remain in public places. Their image is typically tarnished because they fought for the South, it’s hard for people
All military veterans make sacrifices, and fight courageously for our freedom. They protect our beloved county from disastrous peril. "For famous men have the whole earth as their memorial" (Pericles). Memorials are an icon to represent some historical events that have happened or even people who have made a significant impact on society. For example, they symbolize many things that had happened in the past and people could go there and remember some good things that it has caused. People can even go there and pay tribute to the person the memorial is about. There are three sources that show the importance of memorials and why they should be built.

The word ‘War’ can never bring happiness with itself unless used in a sentence along with words like ‘ended’ or ‘over’. For the American Civil War, the terror of this word was just as much, for this war had been one of the bloodiest and most terrifying ordeals to have taken place in the time and era. This war, which took place from 1861 to 1865, brought much destruction and devastation to the people of United States throughout it’s operation. And in it’s wake, it left much to be discussed by the future generations. The debates on what the states were fighting for in the war- Racism, still are of just as much importance. Thus, the people keep on
These memorials are in memory of the fallen soldiers and sometimes the soldiers that made it out alive.
On holidays, we honor the great people who served our country, by hanging our flags in a memorial to them, a symbol of those who have passed.
