We all love music its very wide and varied so, but it seems that there is a new brand of musical springing up, virtual bands. Why do people enjoy virtual bands, virtual bands are bands made up of animated members and perform for an audience in a recording fashion. Why anyone would make a virtual band and why anyone would like such bands and are they profitable? so how big are virtual bands actually, how far do they actually reach? Why do people watch animated bands, what is the appeal? Why should any wish to make an animated band compared to a real one? Are they the future of music or a passing fad?

In japan the first ever hologram concert was miku a digital popstar that was “in Japan, they have already had their first holographic concert. The artist was Miku and the jam packed arena” (Richard Darell) this opens up a world for possibilities. This is was use for amazing animated bands such as gorillaz, this also allow for real dead stars to perform on stage “Old rockers never die, they just get repackaged. The lucrative posthumous careers of stars from Buddy Holly to Amy Winehouse demonstrate that death can be very good for showbusiness. Michael Jackson, whose career was in the doldrums when he passed away in 2009, has been amongst entertainments highest earners ever since, pulling in money from image rights, advertising endorsements, memorabilia, re-releases, new releases of rejected recordings and a live touring extravaganza with Cirque Du Soleil.”(Neil McCormick) this may be a dark manufactured way to make music, but it is the future of music. So the theoretically personality is packed and sold like a holographic character or virtual band. This like it or not this may be the future of music, the more this technology advance on the good side we may see the real musician perform with virtual
On Tuesday February 8th, thirteen high school band members represented our school at the Trailways South Conference Honors Band. It was held at Edgerton Performing Arts Center. The students who participated were Brett Miller, Josh Kupsche, Sierra Wirth, Chris Yezzi, Madison Graf, Tori Nizzi, Madeline Wenzel, Megan Karczewski, Noah Argus, Katie Woodward, Allison Reichert, Summer Manzke, and Arianna Wichman. The students rehearsed all day as a full band with Rick Kirby and performed later that night. It was a day filled with great music, collaborating, and lots of fun. The student performed four songs, “Three Colonial Moments”, “The Willows of the Winter,” “Call of The Wild,” and ‘Crown Imperial March.” The director of the honors band was
In the past, virtual reality technology was thought of by many as a gimmick, and the hope for it to become a mainstream technology was discarded as products did not work as how the public envisioned. However, the proper technology is now available to make virtual reality just that: a reality. The entertainment industry is on the verge of a monumental paradigm shift that will completely transform the way these entertainment mediums are experienced.
with around 865 members. Most of the members live in Louisiana and then some live in
Until the late 40s, most country and western artists on a major record label would record in New York, Los Angeles or Chicago as they were where the label offices and studios were located. 1945 saw the first independent recording studio built in Nashville, titled ‘The Castle Recording company’ and was created by a pair of enterprising radio engineers from WSM in Nashville, (Levy 2000, 22-23). In 1954, Nashville Producer Owen Bradley constructed a studio away from downtown in the famed Quonset hut and was soon followed by a rush of producers, publishers and performers in the late 50s to early 60s converting old houses into studios and offices. This central hub of music industry development in downtown Nashville would form what would come to be known as ‘Music Row’ (Hill 2011, 294). This rush of interest would see session musician and producer Chet Atkins persuade label RCA Victor to construct a studio in 1957, later known as “Studio B”. (Studio B, n.d.)
Music can be observed as one of the oldest pieces of art and entertainment. The industry is evolving at a hasty rate, with all thanks to the exponential growth of technology. Trends have come and gone over time since media productions are compelled to accompany these changes in technology in order to keep profit. With these advancements, the experience for the music industry and the user has terrifically changed. In this essay, I argue that there has been a drastic evolution in how the way music is recorded and consumed over several centuries. Throughout this period, several pioneers have met the needs to organize craze and association of a feasible business standard for the future of the music industry.
This group split off of the punk subculture as a more extremist faction. They are the hardcore side of punk, often representing the drug culture and the violent punk Juggalo sub faction. They are objecting to the “preppy” side of America. They view themselves as outside of the mainstream because of their face paint and attitude that goes against the “mainstream culture”
kind of music. A few successful ventures, such as Bill Haley and His Comets’ “Rock Around
The begins of rock and roll have always been challenged as to when they were first established. The most common argument is that is first started in Southern United states, the birth place of many of the first early rock and roll music hits. As the south always had a huge majority of slaves from Africa and immigrants from Europe, through the gathering of different influences that created a connection between African musical traditions with European instrumentation. Immigration of once slaves to populated urban centers including New York City and Chicago meant that both the black and white communities were living in close proximity, resulting in hearing each other's music and even ‘began to follow and impersonate each other's fashions’.
The pros of virtual reality outweigh the cons of virtual reality. Virtual reality help a lot of people that are lonely and giving them some help, maybe boosting their confidence or even providing them with information on how to do something like getting a date. According to the source: “ ‘A lot of people are lonely.’ Anderson admits. ‘ They want some sort of entertainment or companionship or a little bit of both.’” (Article 2, Page 8) This shows how, virtual reality can be used to help out the lonely people, the people that don't have confidence. Virtual reality is more of like a voice for the voiceless. Also, another way virtual reality shows how it has many pros, and those pros beat out the cons the following shows this from the text (My Virtual Girlfriend) : “I’ve been in a real relationship for almost a year and , in some ways, playing My Virtual Girlfriend reminded me of what my boyfriend and my early dalliances felt like.” Furthermore, both quotes support the claim of how people are struggling and disabled people, letting people believe, and it gives a pro over a con. It doesn't let people struggle, it gives people options, and you may ask how? Well, virtual reality allows you to believe that you are this, you are good at this that feeds into your mind and you begin to build your confidence to get that entertainment to go out
Nobody would believe that in a million years, but what if it can be proven with how technology is advancing we are able to live forever and also be able to cure many disease . With technology more commonly being used in the medical field it should come naturally that we should use it to make more changes than ever before. If this can be done we will be able to make ourselves immortal which can make a change in the world to everyone no longer will people have their lives shorten also can be able to cure certain diseases that could not be solved by human but with the help of technology. In the article Therapist's’ Perception of Benefits and Costs of Using Virtual Reality Treatments it states that “Psychotherapy using VR is the practice of treating psychological disorders by immersing patients into a virtual environment appropriate to their condition.” which shows that the way things are going with technology is being integrated to make an impact on how people will live and be treated in the future showing how technology that people don't know about for example like virtual reality it can make a difference in some of the people's lives. When people think of technology in the medical field they usually are worried since they're not used to being treated by machines but in reality with the use of machines it can make things much easier and less painful than as a human was doing it which can be a great thing. With all the

The main aspect of change in music distribution, which almost all of the new studies of the genre are incorporating, lies in digital distribution. One way that this is changing the face of the industry is how it allows “local” bands to spread their music across a much wider audience than would normally be possible. One article, titled “Local musicians building global audiences: Social capital and the distribution of user-created content on- and off-line”, deals with this such change.
The film And the Band Played On shows the drastic increase of Aids most especially among the gay community which poses many questions. The purpose of the film’s research is to conduct studies in order to note the cause and the spread of the disease in the western developed countries (‘Plot Summary’, 2015). The primary research questions evidently presented in the film And the Band Played On, involve; what causes Aids in the society? How the disease is transmitted from one person to another?
In that time I was introduced to old bands by my dad & for two years I ran an account called @/slashs.tophat. Though, that fandom is convinced that when you get new interests your ears will bleed (never understood that considering they're all 15 like me?) & it was a somewhat strict crowd.
(96) Virtual reality (VR) is define as a cybernetic simulation of 3D surroundings which can be interactive through auditory, sensory and visually stimulating equipment, i.e. gloves, headgear or headphones. VR is an incredibly recent development in technology and such has much room to progress with, I believe that VR is the future of animation as the key aim is to transport the viewer into the world we have created, VR being the next logical step as it creates this suspension of belief as well as activating all of the senses we use to perceive the real world.
