Period 2 My Exploration to Washington D.C.
It was a cold, dark gray, day to our trip to Washington D.C. . The museum that I visited was the The Air and Space Museum. The Air and Space Museum has a lot of experiences that you can learn. At the museum that I visited had rockets, planes, and the gear that the pilots wear. The airplane that I went in had all the controls that the pilots used. During my visiting at the museum I saw the equipment that the astronauts used to go into space on display. The astronauts equipment include the suite, the helmet, special boots and gloves. The astronauts used a space shuttle to explore outer space. This requires special training. I think it takes a special person to do this kind of work.

It was the biggest one I had seen out of all the museums. They had different kinds of planes that replicate the original aircraft. There was also had astronauts suits and helmets. If you ever get a chance to go to Washington D.C I would highly recommend to visit The Air and Space
Neil Armstrong 's 1969 lunar landing was one of humanity 's greatest accomplishments. Since then, we have found that an infinite supply of knowledge and resources await us just outside our atmosphere. Today, however, critics are beginning to argue more and more that the cost of space exploration is too high, and therefore new technological developments should be left to the private sector. Whether funded privately or by the government, funding of space exploration is imperative because NASA is essentially the only agency with the technological capabilities to support aircraft manufacturing, air safety and air transportation. Space exploration has also resulted in remarkable innovations that has played a key role in aeronautics research, preventative medicine, and allows scientists to study asteroids, along with other space debris and their impacts on Earth.
Camera phones, like the smartphones, we use basically every moment, were designed by NASA scientists, according to Business Insider. A camera phone would be useful in space for taking pictures of earth and other planets. NASA also made artificial limbs, which they used for making robots like Robonaut. Robonaut is a humanoid that can perform the same as a human in space. There are four different kinds of Robonauts that have been funded. Two of those Robonauts work at the moment which are R2 and R1. R2 was the first robot in space on the mission STS-133. Baby formula was also founded by NASA. Astronauts used the formula to keep themselves healthy in space. The formula had a lot of algae in it. Cordless tools were also technology that NASA made. Cordless tools are important for space exploration because it allows the astronauts bring the tools out of the spacecraft.
Every citizen of the United States of American should see the Nation's Capital in Washington DC. I finally made my pilgrimage to this Nation's Capital City for a family vacation this year. It is everything you would expect and more. A lot more. Read the following tips to make your upcoming Washington DC trip more fulfilling and less expensive.
American cities range in size from extremely large to small town USA. They exist from coast to coast and vary in popularity, population, and prosperity. Some of them are so little known that only their inhabitants and those who reside in close proximately know of them. Others, however, are known world-wide, and their names are synonymous with greatness. Washington, D.C., the city that was non-existent until it became a nation in 1789, has risen to become our nation’s capital and a hub for political activity.
Starting with victory in their Revolution, there were many proposals to build a monument to Washington. After his death, Congress authorized a suitable memorial in the national capital, but the decision was reversed when the Republicans took control of Congress in 1801. The Republicans were dismayed that Washington had become the symbol of the Federalist Party; furthermore, the values of Republicanism seemed hostile to the idea of building monuments to powerful men.[200] Further political squabbling, along with the North-South division on the Civil War, blocked the completion of the Washington Monument until the late 19th century. By that time, Washington had the image of a national hero who could be celebrated by both North and South, and memorials to him were no longer controversial.[201] Predating the obelisk on the National Mall by several decades, the first public memorial to Washington was built by the citizens of Boonsboro, Maryland, in 1827.[202]
Among the top North Dallas highlights is the Frontiers of Flight Museum – a museum housed in Love Field Aiport. The museum displays detail the history of flight, from the Wright Brothers to modern space shuttles, and include kid-friendly, interactive exhibits. The museum collection includes more than 30 aircraft
The Washington Monument used to be the tallest tower in the world. It has iconic structures and it is honoring to the man known as the father of his country. It shows the importance of him for the Americans that even the country has racked up scores of tributes, cities, highways, lakes, mountains, schools and an entire state have been named in his honour. He even got multiple monuments in his name. The Washington Monument, monumental obelisk was worked to respect George Washington, America's first president and stands today as the world's tallest detached stone structure. An unmistakable change in the shade of the stones can be seen around thirty-three percent of the path up the landmark; the somewhat darker stones at the base were put before
At the Kansas Museum of History, they had a giant train on display. My favorite thing in the museum was where it talked about the Air Capital which is in Wichita KS. They had a lot of old planes that looked pretty neat.
When you first head down to the exhibit, you see a large map of the east coast on the wall. On this map shows the flights that were used by the terrorists in 9/11, you see their flight paths, and the time when they each crashed. Followed by that, you walked past pillars that showed pictures of people reacting to the planes crashing into the towers, you see the fear in their eyes, the horror. Each picture had its own emotion that was heavy to look at. After walking past
For the pre-assessment, I will hold a discussion with the students on what they know about astronauts, including what is needed for travel to the moon, how astronauts stay safe and what tools they use on the
What if no one in the world ever learned about the past? How important is understanding history in our lives? I never had an answer to these questions until eleventh grade when I went on a school trip to Washington D.C with the purpose of visiting the National Museum of African American history and culture. The trip was selective and I was chosen to attend as I was not only a student who consistently got high grades on my assignments, but because I also had a great interest in going to Washington D.C in order to see the historic monuments. I felt thrilled to be one of the of the few students to have been chosen out of the many students in my grade as it meant that the work I had put into class was one of the very

Ever since the first man traveled from Earth, spacesuits have played an essential part of an astronaut’s job. For decades, these suits have allowed humans to travel to and work in space. What many people may not know is that spacesuits have changed drastically over time. As scientists have challenged themselves to improve upon space missions, an astronaut’s spacesuit has changed to allow such ventures to be possible.
The Apollo mission, perhaps the most well known American space mission, is of course famous for putting man on the moon, but it took several clever improvements to the spacesuit in order to maintain homeostasis for
This was actually my first visit to this museum since I have gone to Kennesaw. My expectations were pretty high initially upon going, because I have heard so many things about it from my peers. Just by their opinions, and my love for art I have myself, I was actually excited about going in to take a look. I must say, I was not disappointed by any of the art work I saw in there. I really enjoyed the exhibit of work from some students from a high school around this area. It really shows that the college really supports the youth of the future and their passion for art as a whole.
