Website Design Report
Introduction
For this assignment a local company has asked me to develop a website that has the ability to run on multiple platforms such as desktop computers, smart phones and tablets. By understanding these actions it will allow me to create a website which will reach the maximum amount of people possible.
I intend to write up a report that will cover matters connected with the Internet and WWW infrastructure along with issues that can affect website performance, such as limitations of bandwidth, hardware, software and mobile devices, accessibility issues and any other areas that I Feel are important to a modern company wanting to have a web presence. I will also include in my report how these issues affect how website should be designed for a company such as this one. I will write this report in such terms that non-technical people can understand.

The internet & WWW infrastructure (30 marks)
According to Paul Gill the internet is a vast “interconnection of computer networks” whereas the World Wide Web is “the part of the Internet that you can access using a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. It consists of a large number of web servers that host websites. Each website will normally consist of a number of web pages.” All computers that are connected to the internet are also part of a network, for a computer in someone’s home the network will have them connected to their internet service provider and for a company all of
The Internet is a worldwide, publicly accessible series of interconnected computer networks that transmit data by packet switching using the standard Internet Protocol (IP).
A: Internet: Internet means the network of networks that connected to all networks around the world. For an instance, if you send an email or a message using your mobile phone, then your mobile phone uses internet.
* Technical solutions of webspective is not up to the mark and many of the potential customers perceive webspective to be crippled with problems such as inefficient traffic handling, brand name inconsistency and network problems.
This course introduces effective Web design principles and the essential role of the Web designer in today's business environment. Topics covered include site architecture, page layout, navigation, content, functionality, and usability. Students will evaluate existing Web sites and apply best practices to prototype a unique design using a Web authoring application.
The Internet- The global network formed by interconnecting most of the networks on the planet, with each home and company network connecting to an Internet service provider (ISP), which in turn connects to other ISPs.
Web usability plays a pivotal role which can actually effect the profit of a company. It should be valued that a qualify web site can provide simple but attracting interface that allowing users to catch their needed information effectively and efficiently. Otherwise, once the customers realize that it is hard to find the needed information or the product they want to buy, they are likely to quit the size. Unfortunately, not all the companies understand the importance of this theory.
The Internet is, quite literally, a network of networks. It is comprised of ten thousands of interconnected networks spanning the globe. The computers that form the Internet range from huge mainframes in research establishments to modest PCs in people's homes and offices. Despite the recent hype, the Internet is not a new phenomenon. Its roots lie in a collection of computers that were linked together in the 1970s to form the US Department of Defense's communications systems. Fearing the consequences of nuclear attack, there was no central computer holding vast amounts of data, rather the information was dispersed across thousands of machines. A set of rules, of protocols, known as TCP/IP was
The Web architecture should describe and justify operating system choices (i.e., Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP, Windows, IIS, SQL, etc.).
A website is used by different people for different uses. Each website can be evaluated for its usefulness by the general public based on certain criteria as discussed in this article.
The Internet is the global way of interconnected computer interfaces that use the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link devices worldwide. It is an interface of networks that consists of individual, civic, academic, marketing, and government tracks of local to global scope, joined by a broad collection of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet has changed continuation upside down. It was no longer a state-controlled outline, although the extensive computer network in the world including across 50,000 sub-networks, 4 million systems, and 70 million users. The Internet supports numerous network services, most prominently mobile apps such as social media apps,Internet telephony, the World Wide Web, multiplayer online games, electronic mail, and file sharing services. The internet is essentially a web
Most of the world has been affected by the great influence technology has had upon us. Just a few decades ago, there were no such things as the Internet, websites, and mass produced digital technologies. The Internet is a critical aspect to the lives of most people on Earth. Whether people are using the Internet as part of the global economy or posting personal information on FaceBook, terms such as usability are very important. The paper will evaluate a website specifically dedicated to usability and spreading methods of effective usability. Websites take time, energy, and money to build; to build a website that people do not visit or that has low usability is a waste of those resources. Usability is a significant aspect to the lives of people who heavily rely on the Internet and without adequate website usability, the Internet would collapse.
The Internet - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly The internet is a computer based global information system. It is composed of many interconnected computer networks. Each network may link thousands of computers enabling them to share information. The internet has brought a transformation in many aspects of life.
This lack of understanding causes fear and a personal defense from utilizing "the web" and all the possibilities that lie within it. In essence, the concept behind the World Wide Web is really quite simple. It is nothing more than "a community of information sites on the Internet computer network" (Pasadena Public Library). So basically, the World Wide Web is a small part of a greater entity—the Internet. The sites, or web pages, are all connected by this network and can be considered a community because of their common location-the World Wide Web. If you can visualize it, imagine a large network, the Internet, which connects people and information all over the world. Then imagine within that network, a community of its own. The World Wide Web has an endless number of sites, made of web pages, and all of which are connected through the Internet.
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.
Internet is a global network, connecting thousands of host servers worldwide. The United States Department of Defense established it in the beginning of the 1960¡¯s. Today, there are now 10 to 20 million people using an Internet comprised of more than 30,000 networks spread out over 78 nations all over the world.
