Being a parent could be one of the most difficult jobs a person would ever occupy. Being a parent is a full-time job that never ends despite the fact that children mature. One can become a parent once she conceived or adopt a child, but being a good parent comes with a lot of good and bad times. Firstly, a good parent shields his or her child from physical, sexual and emotional abuse. The headline of the newspapers is imprinted with numerous sexual abuses towards children under the age of sixteen. Secondly, a good parent would keep all unsafe objects locked up or out of the reach of his or her child. For example, mothers with toddlers need to make sure that all electrical cords are out of reach of the child and all electrical sockets are covered, to avoid infants from pushing any objects into the sockets. Thirdly, parent’s must consider safety persecutions to protect his or her child. For example, when taking your toddler for a drive, one should make sure that the car seat is strapped in and the doors locked before leaving the driveway.
