What are three responsibilities of a good parent?
Being a parent could be one of the most difficult jobs a person would ever occupy. Being a parent is a full-time job that never ends despite the fact that children mature. One can become a parent once she conceived or adopt a child, but being a good parent comes with a lot of good and bad times. A good parent can be expressed as someone who demonstrates the difference between what’s right and what’s wrong. It is very significant for us to teach our children from an early age what is right. Children should be trained to respect their elders, leader, parents and the laws of the country in which they live. A parent ought not to spoils his or her child as the saying goes “spare the rod and spoil

Firstly, a good parent shields his or her child from physical, sexual and emotional abuse. For example, a single mother dating or in a relationship with a male panther must be very careful with her daughter or daughters among him especially if he’s concentrating or pays attention to her daughter. As a single mother dating your children are at high risk of being sexual or physical abuse. The headline of the newspapers is imprinted with numerous sexual abuses towards children under the age of sixteen. As’ parent’s it is one’s duty to constitute a silent oath to safeguard your children from being tortured or abused. Secondly, a good parent would keep all unsafe objects locked up or out of the reach of his or her child. For example, mothers with toddlers need to make sure that all electrical cords are out of reach of the child and all electrical sockets are covered, to avoid infants from pushing any objects into the sockets. Thirdly, parent’s must consider safety persecutions to protect his or her child. For example, when taking your toddler for a drive, one should make sure that the car seat is strapped in and the doors locked before leaving the driveway. As a result, the Safety of your child must be essential as a
Children do not come with guidelines or instructions. What they do come with is a crucial set of physical and emotional needs that need to be met. To raise children properly, parents duties are not limited to just food, shelter and protection. Parents are largely responsible for their children’s success in life. Parents are required to teach and educate children. They have to shape knowledge and character into their children to prepare them to face the real world. To be successful with this, parents must provide self esteem needs, teach moral and values and provide discipline that is both effective and appropriate. As the generations have changed, many parenting styles have evolved, as well.
Having children comes as natural as eating; being a good parent comes only with a little work and effort. So many times in our society we see examples of bad parenting. No child is born with a how to manual and this is why the whole family needs to be involved in the child’s life. There use to be an old saying “It takes a community to raise a child”, but to many times it is the community that has became the most dangerous to the child. Doing my research for this paper I have found numerous resources available to parents to help them along the way. This paper will look at good parenting techniques using “The Top Ten Parenting Tips” by DR
Parenting: from dressing, teaching, disciplining, to simply supporting a child, there are technically no right or wrong ways to provide care. Although there may not be a correct way, most, if not all, parents have been or will be criticized at some point because of their decisions in parenting. So what exactly makes someone good at parenting? A mother, father, or caregiver who exercises good parenting fosters a healthy relationship with the child, demonstrates and reciprocates respect, and reinforces responsibility.
As many people know being a parent is one of the biggest responsibilities they will have in their entire lifetime. It requires much time, especially during a child's adolescence. Being a good parent is loving your child for one part, and other qualities that must be taken up to be a good parent are: supporting them financially and emotionally, not putting them down, letting them have some independence, and
Parenting can be described as the most rewarding aspect of a person’s life, or the worst. Parenting is not always about correcting a child’s behavior, it is about moral harmony. The way parents discipline their own children has a lot to do with the way their child matures throughout his or her own life. Ultimately, it is about a parent raising their children in the best way they see fit; creating a legacy. Some of the many factors that determine a child’s ultimate outcome include: the types of parenting styles used on children, parent involvement, and the many methods of discipline.
A good parent needs more than just responsibility for a child and patience for raising one. A good parent needs kindness and selflessness as well to raise a good child. A good parent loves unconditionally and gives, but overall, responsibility and patience are the two most important
Everyday there are people whom are given this tiny little miracle called a child, and unfortunately not all people can handle the responsibility that comes with said child. It happens so often anymore, that all over the world there are children terrified, due to child abuse. Whether it is physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological abuse or neglect it is a worldwide problem.
Many question the parenting style that should be implemented upon a child. One contrasted theory is whether a parent should be a child’s disciplinarian or a child’s best friend. Parents may desire to possess a friendship with their child, but for that to happen a parent has to cross the parental disciplinary boundaries. A parent should be a disciplinary parent, for being a parent involves making arduous decisions, to be unpopular, and even be hated at times. A child needs someone to guide them through life, and not someone who will keep them from experiencing consequences and limits.
Second, teaching one’s child right and wrong is another key point in becoming a successful parent. Of course, they are going have to learn lessons for themselves, but some things are going have to be taught by a parent. Teaching a child good morals and values are essential to their upbringing. Having good manners is what helps them acquire respect, acquire friends and acquire jobs. As they grow older, the more
Children are the future of the world and need to be nurtured and educated in the best conditions. Thus, parenting is one of the most challenging and admirable responsibilities that people can experience. Parenting plays important roles in the development of children’s characteristics. Some people nurture children depending on their own ways. Others get advice from friends or books. Parenting can be divided into three groups: authoritative, permissive, and democratic parenting.
I view children as small individuals who need guidance, love, nurture, praise, and care. That’s why I aspire to help my children in every way I can. Without these things children are set up for failure. They will not be set up on a path to success if they are abandoned, and left to fend for themselves. At a very early age in life a child is able to form an attachment with his or her mother. I find it beneficial for a child to obtain a secure attachment that is why my philosophy on parenting is the way it is. I view children as active learners who want to gain knowledge. This is why parents need to be their lifelong teacher and coach. Children come out of the womb as a blank slate and it’s the parents job to help the child learn right from wrong, become independent, and to live a happy successful
Proper parenting is important to a child's development in many aspects and it moulds a child into a respectful and responsible member of the society. Every event in a child's life at the time when he is at the development stage, plays a major role into what he becomes in future. Certain behaviors in the society or within the family set up have a major impact in a child's development.
When children are young, it is typical to dislike and disagree with your parents. Children and teenagers often fail to recognize the good characteristics that their parents have and only focus on the negative attributes. As people mature and grow older, they start to recognize the impact that their parents had on their life. For each person, there are different fundamental characteristics that an ideal parent must have. Although no parent is perfect, I believe that a parent’s ability to discipline, teach, and respect their child’s expression creates the ideal parent.
Robert Duvall an American actor and filmmaker once wisely stated, “Not every successful man is a good father. But every good father is a successful man.” This quote reveals just how fulfilling and important a true father’s job can be. A father has many responsibilities, yet his family should be a priority in his life every day. No matter what else is going on around them, a father must bring his family together and show them Christ’s love. The role of a father encompasses many different duties. Yet, a man begins learning fundamental qualities early on in life that will help him raise a family later on. In order to become an excellent father, a man must first master the skills of leading, providing, and protecting.
