There are three barriers that I encountered during this shift. The first one was when I was not able to learn different products from different location (for a short time), and therefore, could not help the patient look for the product quickly as they were needing. The second barrier approaching patients, I sometimes pick a certain patient looking at the selfcare product to approach due to being unconfident. The third barrier was the language, one patient was communicating with very little English, she was speaking Spanish, I had very hard time to show her the right location for the correct product.
I believe that I would be a valuable addition to The Children’s Community Head Start program and would love to have the opportunity to utilize my knowledge and skills

Barriers can get in the way of effective teaching and learning by both the patient and the nurse. The first barrier I ran into was the patient having a visual problem. Her eyes were dry from a medication so it was a distracting her from effectively listening to me. The other patient barrier I encountered was a cognitive barrier, which required me to use repetition so she could absorb the information I was telling her. My first personal barrier was I talked to fast and speeded through the information, next time I need to talk slower and clearer so the patient can better understand me. The other personal barrier that I encountered was the patient's husband keep critiquing the way I was teaching at the end so that threw me off. Next time I need to anticipate feedback from the family of the patient to better prepare myself.

I am currently throwing myself into numerous amounts of art classes and projects so that, I rise to the top like cream. Being competent and conscious of the idea that any hobby, profession,
