Your life is always at risk. Eating, sleeping, playing everything you do has a risk to it, there isn’t that much difference between extreme sports and your everyday life.
Is extreme sports a healthy decision or a selfish one. I say that most extreme sports are healthy, however, a few extreme sports are selfish. However, life is always a risk, so the argument for enjoying life to the maximum doing extreme sports and keeping healthy has benefits that outweigh the fear of what might happen or the concern about selfishness.
An extreme sport is when someone risks his or her life for the pleasure, or momentary thrill of just having fun, or getting paid for taking part in the a death defying sport.
I believe that there are many extreme sports that are healthy challenging such as mountain climbing. On the other hand, I also believe that there are extreme sports like, Boxing, Bull Fighting, Sky Diving ; all three sports provide a thrilling experience for the person taking part in the sport. On the other hand the risk of life, or great injury is a constant reality.
When a person is asked to put his life on the line for the pleasure of others, I believe that is very

Boxing has many risks to it like getting beaten up and suffering from the effects of physical and mental damage. Boxing takes a toll on the body. The boxer however, despite what negatives and downsides there are , remains in control of the sport because he or she can at anytime stop the game. Knowing the dangers involved anyways, the boxer continues to take part in the sport because of loving the sport. In this way, someone who does not like the sport can critique the player for being selfish. The boxer can argue with this by saying that when good training is part of the boxers’ life, learning good defense helps minimize the dangers. So, in that way that in one extreme sport that is not selfish or at least the levels of selfishness are
There are many risks to playing sports but the biggest one is injuries. In invasion games like lacrosse and soccer you risk being pushed, tackled, kicked, and other physical “attacks”. In other games like tennis you can get hurt from a fracture or sprain. In almost every sport you could be injured.
Rest in peace Robson for jumping off like a smart man . The issue of extreme sports has different points of view, however i believe extreme sports should only be in mind for people who wish to do them. These so called “risk takers” aren't really risk takers. They do it for the fun, the feeling that you get after doing something you've been wanting to do for a while is probably one of the best feelings you could ever feel.
They say bull riding is the most dangerous sport on dirt. In a lot of ways they are right a lot of people are injured and even killed. In bull riding they say its not if you get hurt its when and how bad. Bull riding has been around for a long time for a few hundred years. Bull riding is an exciting and an adrenaline pumping sport because of the history of bull riding, the way you are scored, and the safety of the rider and the bull.
Although sports may help increase levels of fitness and overall health, is it worth it if you end up breaking your bones anyways? Not to mention how some injuries would impact academics. Unless you want to pursue a career in athletics focusing too much on sports would do no benefits. Overall sports seem to have a negative effect on our youth participants. Not many realize how many injuries one can get, or how money wasted on sports impacts other students.
A study conducted by Dr. Brymer suggests that many people who participate in extreme sports do not do them for the adrenaline rush. The author wrote that “What I found was that these people have a real love for these activities, and talk about a realisation about the power of nature, a sense of humility, and a real sense of peace,”(Medical News Today 9). Many people who participate in extreme sports love doing them and find the risk taking aspect to be relaxing. This shows that taking risks and actually be good for you, mentally. This shows that risk taking is not about getting an adrenaline rush, but about improving mental health. While extreme sports help many people relax, overall they are just good for
Have you ever been seriously injured as an athlete due to wrong form, hard work, and intensity? If the answer is yes, you understand the stress of a sport. You would also understand the passion of the sport, and the respect and equality you know you deserve. Sports come with all kinds of stress, enjoyment, building muscles, being sore, and it can shape you as a person. As people, we love sports.
Athletes have always known their risks but chose to play anyway because they love playing the game. Associations and administrators in the sports world need to take a step back and consider the athletes in each situation before they take away the game many people have grown to love. Athletes
For most athletes, they're are a form of therapy or relaxation. John Donvan also stated, “While there is an awareness of risk it is not the reason most people are involved, but rather something they accept, they are looking for something deeper and more meaningful.” What Donvan seems to be saying is that most people involved in sports know of the risks they are taking, but they continue to perform anyway, these athletes are in sports and activities to find a calming and focus state. John Donvan's statement also relates for London's claim. Rather than back off an activity because of certain risk, people choose to persist and be active to better themselves physically and
particularly dangerous. But he doesn’t describe the many sports that are much less dangerous, or
There are numerous factors that can influence health and safety in sport. Health and Safety has developed over time and therefore there have also been a number of different legislative factors introduced to minimise hazards and risks and some of these can be associated with sport.
One example of this risk is myself, when i committed to play here at Itasca I knew that there was a risk of me getting injured. In the first week of fall camp I tore my patella tendon and need patella tendon reconstructive surgery on my right knee just so that I can get back out there next year. I like the millions of people who watch football know the risk of this game but the passion and experiences you learn outway anything else. Overcoming my knee injury from football is huge for me because not only will i fight to heal it up but it will show me I can overcome anything that life throws at me. “The central concern among doctors is no longer just catastrophic injuries- concussions that result from big collisions-” Through this quote even Almond and
First, I think it is important to identify what a dangerous sport is. A dangerous sport is a sport that creates significant risk for the participants, which could cause serious impairments to one's ability to function normally on a day-to-day basis. Rules are in place to avoid serious injury,
Imagine taking a risk that causes a long-term injury and costs your job. Sometimes people take a risk for fortune or entertainment, even if that means that long-term health issues or losing their career. Stunt devils and pro football players are just two examples of people who take dangerous risks.
There are risks in absolutely everything we do. More people die in cycling than football. And guess what, that is not a contact sport. In America cheerleading is the most dangerous sport. And that is not a contact sport either. Everything we do have risks. We don't ban them just because there are risks involved, that's jsut apart of life. Again, we don't need to ban it just because it is risky. We have safety measures, protective gear and rules in place already to ensure risks are to a minimum. Safety measures include first aids, physiotherapist and medical crew on the fields at all times. We have protective gear such as helmets, mouth guards, strapping and bodily pads. Finally we have rules in place to avoid injury such as games off after
A personal experience that I had that made me disagree with this statement is one day I was at a water park and in this slide I almost fly out and I could of got hurt real bad or worse death and extreme sports have these types of experience extreme sports have. This relates to extreme sports because extreme sports also has death and you can get hurt real bad. An other experience I have experience I had was a personal one it was when I was risking to play on my brothers Xbox One but the reward was to play the Xbox One and and play with my friends and then my brother said not to play on the Xbox and I played and I got caught.
