Romeo and Juliet is a play written by William Shakespeare, two star-crossed lovers defying their families’ ancient grudge to be with each other, even if that means in death. The question is who is to blame? Romeo, even in death should be held responsible. If it weren’t for his series of misguided actions the outcome would have been very different. The situations he created for himself showed his fickle nature, impulsive behavior and impatient demeanor towards everything that occurred.

Friar Lawrence is the one to blame for Romeo and Juliet's deaths because he fell upon several faults that he should not have encouraged. Some things Friar Lawrence did that was not good is providing the poison and sleeping potion to Juliet so

This is because they are the ones that thought they were in love. They are also the ones that killed themselves. It was their decision to die, so it is their fault. Friar Lawrence only played a part because they trusted him and he had a cause, so he also contributed to the tragedy when he could have stopped

In ¨The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet¨,there seems to be the question of who seems most responsible for the deaths in Romeo and Juliet? I’ve come to the idea that it is the prince, Escalus who caused or atleast could’ve stopped these deaths from ever starting to unfold. He was so anonymous of every problem happening and never took charge of the situation until it concluded. He had to ask of benvolio”who began this bloody fray” when Mercutio and Tybalt were dead. He never had men prepared of any casualties that could happen or any men on patrol so no fight broke out in the first place.

Almost every tragedy has someone to blame. in the story Romeo and Juliet, Romeo kills himself because friar laurence and, friar john didn’t deliver his note in time, so romeo poisoned himself because the note with the information on it didnt get to him.

Romeo would have been perfectly fine had he not interfered in Mercutio and Tybalt’s fight. In retrospect, had Mercutio just went home the entire conflict of this tragic story would have turned out much differently. The moral of the story? Listen to dear Benvolio. Some things can be attributed to stars such as Romeo taking his own life moments before Juliet awoke from her unnatural death nap, but these unfortunate events could have been avoided if people had just thought rationally before acting. This is the true tragedy of the play.

Both families enable the fight, and the blame must be handed down. While the whole situation was much bigger than any one character in the play, there are many many characters who all played a part in their own way: Tybalt, Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio, Paris, The Prince, Friar Lawrence, the nurse, Lady Montague, Lady Capulet, Lord Montague, and Lord Capulet. The whole situation really was Romeo and Juliets fault, but because they are both dead, the punishment must be handed down to those who are at fault. While it was much more and much bigger than any of the characters in the play, the two that deserve the most blame are the two family heads.
