A mentor is a person who gives AID, which stands for assistance, inspiration, and direction. When a mentor gives assistance, he seeks to help a person out with a situation. Providing assistance means to help a student in difficult tasks; in contrast, inspiration is spiritual medicine to help boost a student's confidence. The difference is that assistance is physical help, whether to stop a fight between students or to stop a student from committing suicide; hence, inspiration is spiritual help, whether to give advice or to boost confidence with Biblical scriptures. The D stands for direction; it is the final phase to help the student feel optimistic about the future; the student has to live out the mentor's advice and inspiration to fulfill
