Bullies. People say they want to be them, but why I must ask. Bullies, make it there life mission to torment others to make them feel hopeless, unwanted and feel as though if they committed suicide everything would be better. I have always wondered why bullies are bullies are they upset with their lives that they make it there life mission to ruin others as well? I don’t know. But the thing is that many kids sometimes adults suffer from bullying some more severely than others.
Bullying has been a problem worldwide for as long as anyone can remember. Bullying started from verbally to physically and then it went cyber. When the victims confide in a teacher or adult, the punishments for the bully does not justify the actions they have done. If there won’t be any harsher punishment for those who have bullied then the victim could be continuously bullied and end up either self-harming themselves or even worse suicidal. The punishments the school gives for bullying like suspension or detention does not solve the problem with the bully because it will just make them even more mad than they were,
What is bullying? “Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance” (What is Bullying? (n.d.)). This occurs more and more throughout society. Bullying affects many people, whether it’s the one being bullied or the bully-er. It’s the struggle of an imbalance of power, between the two. There are several types of bullying, such as verbal, social, physical, cyber, etc. The one, who is being bullied, is hiding their power, to speak up and try to prevent what is happening. This leads to them becoming depressed, anxious, sad, and unhappy, etc. This is why these children are more at risk at attempting and/or considering committing suicide. People who are bullied are “between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide”( Bullying and Suicide) then people who aren’t

I suppose that a lot of people get bullied every single day. I condsider that parents and adults should take a stand. Some reasons of why I consider that bullies should have harder punishments than just a suspension is because they can make people commit suicide and they can cause health issues.
The victim , the bully , the bystander. Which one are you? Think long and hard about the one you are and if it’s hurting you or the other person. Bullying can be a way or more affective than you think it can be. For example , physical , social , and verbal are three main types of bullying.
The hard part is trying to detect and to find out when the tragedy of suicide will happen. It’s best to be aware of what’s going on with the person who’s dealing with bullying emotional, verbal, or physical. The one thing the family and the friends could do is be there for him or her. Bullying is a cruel way to gain power and strength over others who are weaker to hurt and has a negative effect on the victims.
Bullying is a form of youth violence. One of the most recognized definitions of bullying is that “a person is bullied when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons, and he or she has a difficulty defending himself or herself” (Bullying Lecture, 2017, p. 3). For an act to be considered bullying it usually consists of three key components, which are repeated experiences, unwanted negative actions, and a power imbalance. Many types of behaviors are considered bullying, including, physical (hitting), verbal (name calling), relational (spreading rumors), racial, and sexual (Fisher, Reyns, & Sloan, 2016). When considering bullying, one of the main questions is how it should be addressed. Overall, I believe that the educational system should be the main source of addressing and handling bullying.
Bullying is a strength or an influence to intimidate another and to force them to do something he or she wants them to do (Dictionary.com). Bullying is also a form of harassment. In schools, people who are viewed as “different” are targeted and victims of bullying. Most victims of bullying are less popular, do not get along with others, they are annoying or “weird”, their race, and because of what they wear. Kids become bullies because they usually lack attention at home or they learn the behavior at home. Also, an adult figure inside or outside of the household that could be a parent, teacher or coach could make these children lash out. A lot of the time these bullies do not understand their own behaviors. Even though bullying has been going on for decades, the public still does not know all of the factors relating to bullying and all of the problems it is causing. Bullying is still a major problem but today, it may be seen in different forms today.
