Everyday kids go to school and have to wonder if they are going to get hit by a car, or if someone is going to pay attention and realize that they are crossing the street. Kids today should not have to worry about thing like this at their age. In this ad it show that kids go through dangerous thing and dangerous obstacles. There is so much danger when kids cross the street. Kids have to check both way before crossing the street and sometime that may bot even be enough safety for a kid to cross the street. Someone may come around a corner really fast and not realize that students are crossing the street It would only take a matter of seconds for kids to get hit by a car. It really can affect a kids life. Most people these days do not care about the stop sign on the bus. Like many other ads, they do not put much detail into it. The ad shows kids getting off the bus and crossing the street. It also shows the danger by adding a cliff and having the kids balance on a bridge just to get over it. It also shows the fact that this happens to more than just one kid. Kids may not have to cross the street but it is still better to stop because you never know. Most kids are taught to look at the bus driver, and have them signal to them when it safe. The thing is it may be clear and safe to walk, but out of nowhere someone could decided to fly around a corner and possibly hit a kid. It may be put on the bus driver, because they were suppose to make sure that ghost was clear, but it also your fault because you were too busy try to get where you needed to go rather than looking out for an innocent kid. This ad really effects anyone and
This ad builds trust with the impressionable youth given the source. They are trying to prevent the use of Meth from spreading and decrease drug addiction among teens. The large scale program has been putting out similar advertisements since 2005, so they have a profusion of knowledge on this topic and know how to deal with these type of situations. By using a adolescent in the ad young adults from everywhere are able to relate and have a clear understanding of what will happen to them if they use Meth. More of them will probably respond with a positive attitude. The Montana Meth Project ad states,“ Picking for bugs under your skin isn't normal, but on meth it is,” and when they use the word
Accompanying this ad is a photo of a small male child in a seated position with his hands over his eyes. The boy is wearing a pinstriped shirt and socks in gray and black on a landing with a gray bannister and a light shining down on him. Inclusion of this picture with the words placed on the ad is attempting to gain a greater emotional response from the audience. The background of a brighter white light shining down symbolizes the need to shed light on the situation. The child seating on a landing on the stairwell could signal to the audience that we have reached a tipping point and need to act to improve the situation and not fall further down the steps.
Anyone under the age of 18 is a child. Children are easily distracted, and are very care free. When you see a group a children riding in the streets or in the snow they’re goofing off scream in exciting for all the fun they are having. At this time they are not worrying about safety. Zipping through the streets or snow with no care in the world. At any moment an accident can happen. Losing control and hitting their heads on the cement or on a tree. With a helmet on the helmet takes majority of the hit.
The advertisement that was chosen for this project covers that of gun issues, especially with the increase of school shootings over the years. Right off the bat with the advertisement come at full force with the message it wants to spread and the change it wants to bring. On the left side there is a young boy holding a Kinder egg; which is banned in the US as a hazardous toy. Whereas on the right there is a small girl who is holding a rifle of sorts. Both children hold a steady and grim gazes as they stare at the viewer; it is meant to be in a way unsettling and putting off because we never want to see children in any sort of harm's way.
This ad has a lot of meaning and can really make people aware of dangerous driving. The woman shown being punched can transfer into a person hitting their head on the steering wheel or being hit by another car. To make people more aware Ecovia has used real people and paintings to persuade the audience to be safe and be careful. This ad has used many ways to convince the audience it's a better world with safer
It is important for children and young people to be protected from harm within school/college to help them learn and thrive. This can only be achieved when they are healthy, safe and their welfare is promoted.
People cannot continue to live in fear of what they do not understand and be fed what the media is giving to them by the spoonful. We have to learn to make our own decisions, and running a positive ad to show that people are people and we are all one in the same, no matter our race or religion, is what is needed, especially in the world at its present state. I would not be surprised if in the next ten years or so, there will be more ads like this throughout the United States and not just on the side of a bus in Hillsborough County. Eventually, there will more than likely be more cultural integration and education on the subject to lessen fears and discriminations to create a more positive and working human
A very effective piece of propaganda in that it captures the reader’s attention successfully by placing a picture of a child in the focal point of the advertisement. The child plays a vital role in this piece of propaganda in that it represents a loved one, family member and anything cherished. It shows what could be left behind, if a driver chooses to ignore safe driving. Choosing a sorrowful child’s face, further enhanced the emotions of the reader, as the advertisement would not have the same effect if an adult was shown instead. The advertisement also suggests that the driver has been negligent in his/her duty of care toward their family. This also instigates a number of feelings in the viewers mind about their family, and the result to their loved ones.
Every parent's biggest fear is losing their child, and Nationwide knows that. The popular car insurance company aired their annual super bowl commercial that left viewers feeling as if they had lost a child as well. Nationwide puts in place a scare tactic to leave its viewers fearing that if they don’t purchase this car insurance their children will die too. Advertisers in general use manipulating tactics such as fear, to scare certain groups into buying their products.
The advertisement utilizes pathos to demonstrate the consequences we go through when having distractions while driving. The image shows how another person is yet again the victim of a cellular device. The ad tries to convince us that it’s not too late to take action in hope that a tragedy like this doesn’t occur. In conclusion, a habit like this is hard to overcome but with time we will make better choices, choices that are capable of saving our
Young children are defenseless. They do not have the body size to defend against an adult attacker, nor do they have the maturity to deal with such a stressful situation. Therefore, children ages three to thirteen should be given the most focus when it comes to protection since they are the most vulnerable and defenseless if attacked. While those above thirteen should also be trained for the situation of a shooter, events like the Sandy Hook shooting reinforce the need for the younger population to learn to deal with the situation. In 2015 alone, there were 64 incidents of school shootings, and hundreds of innocent lives are
Moreover, there no “double speak” included in the ad, however, this child could be viewed as a form of propaganda due to the ad’s intention of helping children. The ad is also a form of propaganda because of the emblematic course of numerous children who get abused sexually each
Parents have a reason to be afraid. In this age, youngsters can casually hop online and quickly find an easy recipe on how to make their favorite deadly explosive, many schools now have metal detectors at the doors to prevent armed students from massacring their peers, drugs flow freely down suburban streets, and children have unprecedented access to. . . . .video games?
Some teens choose to abuse this powerful tool by falsely reporting school shooting threats to police and administration. Every year the rate of school shooting threats increase across our nation, causing schools to waste learning time. When a threat is made, whether that be a hastily written warning in a bathroom or a post on social media, kids will find out and spread the word. These rumours cause attendance rates to drop drastically, and may end up causing the school to temporarily shut down out of fear. When the adolescents parents find out about these threats we get feared and panicked adults in the mix, who don't hesitate to pull their children out of the school. For every threat the schools receive, they must investigate and assess the threat accordingly. Considering how many threats are received, this results in a massive sum of police time being used and usually wasted. Of course, this is necessary to have a chance at preventing a shooting/ murder. One of the ways we could dimmen the effects of these threats is by training school officials to be able to respond cognitively and firmly to any threats made. Another issue that needs to be addressed is school security measures and procedures, which can be outdated and
11% of teens surveyed know that kid bring weapons to school on a regular basis. Some just want to see if they can get away with it. Others want to threaten, hurt, or kill. Kids are also constantly being bullied; kids can be ruthless, because they don't think that their actions could really be affecting someone for the long term. Some schools don't have the money ( only 5% of the schools in the nation have metal detectors) for things like metal detectors and security however they do have the time for discipline. Schools disregard teasing because kids do it all the time; it is considered normal. However children often end up with serious mental conditions; such as anxiety, depression and a feeling of self worthlessness.
