Abortion is a pretty controversial subject throughout our society. Abortion is defined as the termination of a pregnancy resulting in the death of the embryo. There are many different views about abortion, as well as many different beliefs. There are no laws stating that abortion is absolutely illegal and should not be done. It all comes down to it being moral or immoral and what you yourself think.

Some people think that abortion should not be legal at all because a fetus is a human at the point of conception. Some people think that abortion should be legal because a woman should have the right to do what she pleases with her body. If abortion is legal and a woman is sexually assaulted and becomes pregnant, then she has the choice to either keep the baby and have to be reminded everyday of her life of her assault, or she could end the pain right away. Some women may still choose to keep the baby, but at least she would have the choice to make.

If abortion is made illegal, some women may still find a way to have an abortion. This could result in unsanitary procedures, and may even cause death for the woman.

Women who do receive an abortion are less likely to have mental distress due to being denied an abortion.
