What would you do if you found out Jay was the murderer and all along Adnan was innocent and had nothing to do with Hae’s murder. The story if Serial narrated by Sarah Koenig is about, the murder of Hae Min Lee, Adnan Syed, and Jay Wilds. Adnan Syed is Hae’s ex and a suspect in Hae’s murder. Adnan is currently serving life for Hae’s murder. Jay Wilds is Adnan’s ex buddy and a suspect in Hae’s murder. Jay told police that Adnan did it. This story is interesting because this is such a wonderful mystery that they are trying to solve. I believe that Adnan Syed is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee because, he said he was going to kill Hae to several people and people say that they seen him at the library, where the murder might’ve happened. The first reason I believe Adnan is guilty because 2 people said they seen him at the library where the murder might’ve happened. This reason makes sense because, if somebody says that’s where he did it and another person says they seen him around there, that’s evidence. He’s a huge suspect. This …show more content…
This reason makes sense because, why wouldn’t you be acting strange if you just killed someone ? This part of the story is when “Cathy” says both Adnan & Jay randomly showed up at her home in the middle of the night acting strange and when Jenn called Jay Adnan picked up the phone and said Jay couldn’t speak right now and that he was busy with something. “Adnan and Jay suddenly showed up at my door in the middle of the night and they was acting strange” and from Jenn’s point of view, she says “When I called Jay Adnan picked up and said Jay was busy and couldn’t get to the phone”. This proves he is guilty because why else would he be acting so strange and why did he answer Jay’s phone. Therefore, Adnan is guilty because, after the murder he knew what he had done was going to catch up with him soon enough so he started to
Firstly, the Nisha call placed Adnan with Jay after the murder. This call could have been a butt-dial that rang for 2 minutes. The call could have been from Adnan, who wanted to make Jay talk with Nisha. The Nisha call does not prove Adnan killed Hae, as it simply just puts him with Jay at the time. Also, the prosecution stated that Adnan was constantly doing bad things. Everyone does bad things, but it does not make them murderers. Finally, Jay knew the location of Hae’s car. The fact that Jay knew the location of Hae’s car should arouse suspicion on him. The evidence utilized by the prosecution is circumstantial and can be disproved, and the lack of strong evidence proves Adnan’s
Some of the details that Jay knew were impossible for anyone not involved in the crime to know. Jay claims that he went with Adnan to hide Hae’s car. The police later asked him where it was. “He took them to where the car was. That’s a huge thing right there.” (Koenig 8) This piece of information is huge, and completes the entire story for the police. The consistency here is the straw that broke the camel’s back, the camel being Adnan. The police said that they always suspected Adnan, of course, because he was the ex-boyfriend. Jay’s story clicked right in. When he knew where the car was left, it was the biggest thing that proved that Jay wasn’t lying and that Adnan did murder Hae. Jay had to have been with Adnan when Adnan left the car, or else Jay wouldn’t had known where the car
Physical evidence was extremely lacking, and all DNA tests conducted were clear of Syed’s DNA. Therefore, it is more than likely that Syed is innocent. The evidence, or lack thereof, presented in the case of Adnan Syed v. State of Maryland proves that Adnan Syed is not guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee.
We believe that Jay is guilty. In the next five minutes we will prove to you that Adnan is in fact innocent and why Jay should be in jail. Adnan was close friends with Jay’s girlfriend Stephanie which is what we believe Jay’s motive was to murder Hae. The court convicted Adnan of the murder with the motive of being jealous of Hae’s new relationship. We argue that the motive of jealousy was what made Jay kill Hae Min Lee.
Adnan is probably innocent because the only solid evidence is Jay’s inconsistent testimony. The first evidence is the police audio when the first audio played jay mentions that he Adnan were at on the mall and the other audio mentions that they were at a different mall. And the second evidence is the court tapes when Adnan lawyer is questioning jay and changes his answers at the moment when jay was at the stage. And last evidence is Jay’s lack of memory because hard to believe that he forgot the day/night that he saw a dead body for the first time (Hae Min Lee’ Body)
Every time Jay was asked to give his testimony his story changed and he never really had an exact story of what happened that day or why Adnan would have killed Hae Min Lee. In the trial testimony Jay was asked why Adnan killed Hae and he said, "because Hae made him mad." In Jay's second testimony he responded to the same question with a different reason "because Hae had broken his heart."
One of the reason why I believe Adnan Syed is innocent is because he sounds Like a good kid that would never even think about hurting anyone, I mean can you imagine a 17 year old killing Someone cause I don't. Adnan was “like the perfect guy” as some would say. “He was an honor roll student, volunteer EMT.
I’ve started to wonder if Jay has a bigger part of Hae Min Lee’s murder. Jay seems to be constantly inconsistent with his story. I think it’s important to look at Jay’s relationship with his girlfriend, Stephanie Mcpherson. Stephanie is an extremely close friend to Adnan.
In my opinion, Adnan Syed should not have been found guilty under his circumstances; he was wrongfully convicted for the murder of Hae Min Lee and should be exonerated. Adnan was wrongfully convicted because he was found guilty simply on the basis of reasonable doubt, had been exploited by his defense lawyer, and was provided with ineffective counseling by Christina Gutierrez,.
There has been a lot of speculation and internal conflict as to who committed Hae’s murder. At some points, I thought that surely Adnan had done it. However at other points, there was no way that he had killed her. Based on the lack of physical evidence against him, I do not believe that Adnan committed the murder.
Adnan is a normal 17 year old teenager at woodlawn high school. He was the average muslim kid, in his parents eye’s he was a good muslim kid that never disappoints his family.at school adnan syed was also a normal american teenager. He was very popular at school and he experimented in the typical crazy things teenager do even though it's against his family and religious beliefs. one day adnan's ex girlfriend was found murdered. Adnan was soon after convicted of murdering hae lee but some people believe he didn't do it. Mainly because some the accusation that were brought up in his case was inconclusive.adnan is syed is innocent of hae's murder because he doesn't portray and motives of a jealous ex-boyfriend also the timeline doesn't really
First, Adnan did not get a fair trial because Jay lied during his trial.,the phone record prove nothing and Neither do the letters.Jay lied during his trail because, in episode
This suggest that Adnan could not be the killer but the only one with a strong enough case for conviction. But what if there was someone that the police didn’t know about that did kill Hae or the police didn’t even notice because they were building their case?
Did Adnan Syed really kill Hae Min Lee? In the podcast Serial, Sarah Koenig analyzes the murder case of Hae Min Lee, which took place on January 13, 1999. Adnan Syed, the main suspect of her murder, was imprisoned after losing the case. Even after trial, Adnan’s friends and family don’t believe that he murdered Hae. Adnan Syed is not guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee.
Imagine being in prison for 15 years, convicted for a murder that had extremely little physical and forensic evidence against you. This was one of the numerous holes and facts that Sarah Koenig discusses in Serial that doesn’t match up in the murder case of Hae Min Lee. On January 13th, 1999, a seventeen year old student in Baltimore, Hae, disappears after school one afternoon. Her body was found in Leakin Park on February 9th, 1999, and was manually strangled. Adnan Syed, her ex-boyfriend, was arrested and eventually convicted of murdering her. The unusual aspect about this murder case is that there are many holes in the story that doesn't make sense. There is not much physical and real evidence against Adnan, although more of, stories that former classmates and friends discuss
