Worldview And Religion

This is the third week in my seven week semester in this Christian Worldview requirement. Chiefly, I am having a difficult time communicating to my professor. In reflection, Dr. Rasor can;t understand my posts any longer and my latest 60-point assignment totaled to an F. As a result, I looked ver the rubrics and the content that I produced and I demand another opinion because I think the assignment deserves a much better great. Plese, assist me in this matter, even if this situation has to go to the Dean of the school (Christian Worldview).

There are many different ways to completely define the term “Worldview”. To actually have a worldview it means that you have built a particular opinion of life. The opinions that have been created will help in the development of ideas or decisions as well as how the world around you is perceived. No two people will have the same worldview, most people live their lives. (Open Bible, 2015)

A “worldview is a set of beliefs or truth claims that form a framework for making sense out of life and the world” (MacCullough, Ed.D., 2012, p. 15). Basically, it is how we view the world. We all have our own perception in the way we view the world. Our worldview is what we believe the answers are in our everyday life and what we believe are the answers to everything we do or are involved in. Everyone has a Worldview. “A collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group.” (1) Some have a Biblical Worldview. A Biblical Worldview is founded on the word of God. It is how a Christian views the world. Both belief systems are equally important to each individual, but there are differences in the way they view the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture.

There are three basic world views recognized. A world view is "A set of assumptions or beliefs about reality that affect how we think and how we live” (Krise 2017) it can also be described as "The comprehensive perspective from which we interpret all of reality"(Krise 2017). Simply put it is our beliefs and views about the world, god or no god, and the afterlife. The three world views are Atheism, Pantheism, and Theism. Atheists believe there is no higher power or afterlife. Pantheists believe that “all is god,” they believe in a spiritual realm but no single god, common religions in this world view include Hinduism and Buddhism. A worldview is one’s views and beliefs about the world and reality that impact how we think, live our lives, and perceive the world. “People have their own private worldviews with values and beliefs that have been shaped by culture, education, experiences, and relationships” (“Lecture 1,” 2015). There are many worldviews and outlooks in the world, but we are mainly focusing on the Christian worldview. In this paper, I will summarize and analyze the Christian worldview and describe their beliefs with regard to God, Humanity, Jesus, and the Restoration while reflecting on my own beliefs.

I. A worldview is a person's concept of what the world is, how the world operates, and the place he or she has in the world. The worldview can also encompass the philosophy of life held by the person, because life philosophy and understanding of the world are generally linked to one another. In other words, a person who has a highly religious worldview would very likely have a philosophy of life that encompassed the need for a kinder world, and that included the relationship between what happens in this world and the promise of an afterlife. The person who has an atheistic worldview would be expected to have a philosophy of life that was different from that of a religious person, and that encompassed different things that were important to that person. A worldview can change over time, of course, because it is generally shaped by parents and school at an early age. As a person ages, he or she explores the world and sees it differently, which can lead to a change in the overall worldview held by that person and how he or she will choose to respond to the world in the future.

Today’s society consists of many worldviews. Most people tend to pull beliefs from different religions, but often stick to one main worldview. A worldview to me is the gathering of beliefs that shape what we do on a daily basis and forms our overall view on life. When I look at my beliefs critically, I am able to see my worldview and see how it compares to different worldviews, but also how it compares mainly to the Christian Worldview.

Whether clearly defined or not, everyone holds a worldview. Through life, travel, study, and contemplation, I have sought to clarify and substantiate my worldview. When comparing my beliefs to various other worldviews, mine stands up as logical and rational. Most importantly, my Christian worldview can be applied to contemporary problems and even explain many of the world’s issues. Though the Christian worldview is one of the most criticized, it provides substantive answers instead of more philosophical questions. After all, a worldview is only worthwhile if one can explain and defend their beliefs.

What is a worldview? How does it influence our daily lives? A worldview is how we see reality. It influences the way we live our lives. It influences the way we interact with each other. A worldview is a belief system of who we are, why we are here, and what our destiny is.

We now cannot make public claims that bound whole society on the basis of our personal truth. Over the years my worldview has evolved from as a by product of cultural influence, to one steeped in my belief of God. However, until I got married 4 years ago, I had never actively worked on developing my Christian theistic worldview. Brown, Phillips and Stonestreet (2008) described a persons’ worldview as the framework that guides our beliefs and viewpoints (p. 21). With this in mind, I have established 3 main tenants of my worldview, God is, the universe was and morality will be. These are the foundations for the way I live, move and express my being in this world.

Religion these days have become the center of our attention as we contemplate whats right and what is wrong. Figuring out what religious views fit best with what you believe can be difficult to grasp as sometime we begin to wonder if what we read or believe actually is true. It is only human nature to question the beliefs that are set before us. Religious views all over the world have many spiritual beliefs and traditions that are all different in some way. It is important to have the knowledge of different religions as not everyone in this world believes the way you might. Having the sensitivity towards their belief is important and having the understanding that you can't change the way that they think. Two world religious views that are
