Soil A  with a hump indicates that some of the intermediate size particles are missing. This type of soil is known as Gap-graded or Skip graded soil.

It also represents High compressibility silts and clays represented by symbol H 

LL>PL and Ip>0 - It implies plastic clays

Soil B represents the soil which contains the particles of different sizes in good proportion. Such a soil is called a well graded (W) or uniformly graded soil.

LL>PL and Ip>0 indicates plastic clays.

It also represents medium compressibility silts and clays (I)

Furthermore, LL<50 and Ip>7 denotes CL i.e. Clay of low plasticity.
