Here two resistances of values 2R and 3R and connected in parallel. The current from the battery gets divided and I1 current flows through the battery of resistance 2R and lest us assume x current flows through the resistance 3R. 

The voltage drop across both the resistance should be same as they are connected in parallel.

 2R × I1 = x ×3R  x = 23I1 Ibat =I1+ 23I1 = 53I1
