You can use the tolower() function to convert characters from uppercase but you will need to include the ctype.h header file. Note that your final program may not be as robust as your actual algorithm when dealing with invalid user input because of its reliance on the scanf() function. Also note that your C program must be modular and include multiple functions corresponding to the separate steps from your high-level algorithm. Note you may need to perform parameter passing by pointer.
