Describe result for gram reaction of staphylococcus capitis

Expert Solution
Step 1

Staphylococcus capitis  is a CoNS (Coagulase-negative species) of the genus, Staphylococcus. It has been associated with prosthetic valve endocarditis and is also a part of the normal flora of the skin of face, scalp, ears and scrotum of humans.

As these species are known to be the native flora of skin and mucous membranes, they maybe used anytime there is a through break in the membrane of mucous or skin or at the time of venipuncture.

It is also found to be pathogenic to humans and can be easily spread but they can be successfully eradicated due to its lower affinity to antibiotic resistance.
