a. Draw an overlay of the before and after section (use a full size sheet of engineering paper) for both Stations 0+00 and 1+00.
 
b. Calculate the necessary cut and fill end areas at both stations. (Units of Sq Ft)
 
c. Calculate the volume of the cut and fill for the roadway section between these two stations. (Units of BCY)
 
d. Is there enough material to construct the road? Why or why not?
 
e. What would happen if there is any excess material?
 
f. What would happen if there is not have enough material?
