Block 1 has mass *m*_{1} = 1.10 kg; block 2 has mass *m*_{2} = 2.50 kg. What are **(a)** the magnitude of the blocks’ acceleration and **(b)** the tension in the cord?

It is clear from the figure that the block m2 has more mass so that it accelerates down ward and m_{1}will accelerate upward. According to the Newton’s law, equation (1) and (2) gives the equations of motion regarding this Atwood’s machine.
