B) Which moleculeis undergoing oxidation?
Expert Solution
Step 1
When oxygen is available, aerobic respiration will takes place. In eukaryotic cells, the process of glycolysis occurs during which pyruvate molecules produced at the end of process are transported into the mitochondria. Mitochondria is the sites of cellular respiration. There, pyruvate molecule is transformed into an acetyl group which is picked up and get activated by acompound called coenzyme A (CoA). The final compound formed is called acetyl CoA.
