In product presentation, packaging holds an important part as it is the first thing
that the customers will see. The more the packaging is presentable and attractive, the
more it will be effective to generate sales and induce customer satisfaction. As
globalization is constantly inducing, packaging is becoming one of the most vital
consideration that every business is giving attention to.
Most of the packaging were made through the use of resources such as energy,
water, chemicals, petroleum, minerals, woods and fibers. But the utilization of these
were not usually raw, businesses are conducting emissions including greenhouse
gases, heavy metals and particulates also waste waters or the sludge containing toxic
contaminants.
As the effects of these emissions are being felt, several companies promote
the usage of natural resources producing eco-friendly packaging to prevent harming
of the environment.
Some of the most popular companies that uses eco-friendly packaging includes
Calvin klein, Patagonia, ASOS, Amazon, Allbirds, Lifestyle over luxury, BOXED water
and Plaine products. Various small companies also use this strategy.
In the Philippines, there are lots of businesses who utilizes eco-friendly
packaging. Some of the most popular business according to this includes Econest,

As a consumer there's a lot of things we put into consideration when we are
about to buy a specific product, it can be the feature, quality, price, appearance,
popularity, and many more. But what we are trying to find out is, does packaging really
affects the sales of the product? Is it a big deal in purchasing decision of a consumer?
Let's find out.
In this paper, we will be discussing the history regarding the chosen topic, what
is the importance and impact of packaging to our environment, what is the significance
of having a good packaging in business industry, what would be its impact to the
economic environment, what type of packaging is appreciated by the consumer and
so on.
We did a survey in order to know the perspective of the real consumers in terms
of the influence of packaging in their buying decision which can lead in a higher sale
of product in a company. We prepared question.
After reporting this paper, businesses would be enlightened more, on what
things does a consumer consider in purchasing a product. It will give them the chance
to know the perspective of the consumer and the special topics to be discussed in
related with the influence of packaging in generating higher sales.
