Visit to an Orthodox church In contrast to the tall spires one might expect when encountering a Roman Catholic Church, the Saint Mary Orthodox Church in East Brunswick, NJ is a relatively small, unprepossessing structure. It does not resemble a conventional Roman church or steeple; nor does it resemble the elaborate domed Orthodox Churches of kind I have seen in photographs of Russia. It is a square brick building with two relatively nondescript pillars flanking the front. What is noteworthy
If I had a ticket to go anywhere, I would go to Michigan state for the reasons that it has been a dream of mine for a undoubtedly long amount of time. It has been a dream of mine because a bunch of my friends talk about how great it is, how cold winter is, along with how lovely the lakes are. I love cold weather as much as I love water. Michigan being known for its great lakes has the largest freshwater coast in country 3,288 miles of shoreline. Oh the refreshing water against your skin during the

Art Museum Visit I stumbled across the artwork “Last Judgement” by Circle of Hieronymus Bosch at Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University. I was shocked when I initially saw this. I first noticed Jesus Christ centered at the top. I immediately knew it was a religious painting, particularly Christian. To the left of him, I recognized two lines of angels that I inferred were leading a sort of pathway to Heaven. I thought that it was interesting how that Bosch depicted that scene to being smaller
The Visit, originally published in 1986, is a play written by Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Dürrenmatt’s play is set in Güllen, an industrial town on the decline that has found itself in troublesome times. When the world’s richest woman makes an undeniable offer, it becomes clear that the town’s economy will be saved, but only at an unthinkable cost. As the play unfolds, the rise and fall of the town and each of its citizens becomes evident. Dürrenmatt, a 20th century Swiss playwright, is well known for
considered myself very fortunate to be a part of it. However, it has made my search for such diversity and vibrancy elsewhere much harder. Having planned some time off to travel last year, my wife, Sophia, and I narrowed the list of places we wanted to visit to South America or Indonesia; and when a good friend related fascinating stories from Indonesia, it seemed like a sleeping giant that the world knew little about so we decided to go and see it for ourselves. Consider some of these facts: The largest
to the infant. There are different variations of this worship such as First Baptist, second Baptist, American Baptist, southern Baptist, and Etc. Like many religions through time, some things will change to keep it going. I had the opportunity to visit a Baptist church. The conjugation is made up of mostly older adults. This led me to

While the impoverished town at first refuses her offer, they ultimately give into their need for money and murder Ill. Throughout the play, the author uses the characterizations of Claire

On Sunday, September 17th, 2017, I visited Our Lady of Sorrow Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan to complete the final reflection assignment for this class. This experience was both overwhelming and interesting. I have always wanted to visit a church to understand more about the Christian religion, but never had a reason to go. Growing up, my family has always practiced Buddhism and it is the only religion I am most familiar with. However, over the past three years, I have learned more about Christianity
