17. The volume of carton fruit juices used to decolourise the DCPIP solution is calculated and recorded in Table 3. RESULT Initial concentration of vitamin C solution =Mass of vitamin C gVolume of solution cm3×100% =1 g100 cm3×100% =1 % The final concentration of each vitamin C solution can be found by using this formula : Final concentration of vitamin C solution (%) =Initial concentration of solution %×Initial volume of solution (cm3) Final volume of solution (cm3) Initial

The purpose of this experiment was to mix Alka-Seltzer with Hydrochloric acid in order to analyze Sodium Bicarbonate as an active ingredient in the Alka-Seltzer. The mixture will contain hydrochloric acid to only see the composition of Sodium Bicarbonate in the tablet once it reacts. The amount that reacted allowed us to determine how much of it is present in the tablet. The amount of sodium bicarbonate will be measure by using the ideal gas law PV=nRT. The experiment will be conducted in the lab
how do different volumes of blood affect Hirudo’s thirst? By soaking a sponge with different volumes of cow blood and measuring the time it took for the Hirudo to attach to the blood soaked sponge, the experiment yielded results that help explain whether or not there was a connection between the amount of blood available to Hirudo for feeding and the time it takes Hirudo to attach to the blood source. The experiment was conducted using six Hirudo, with a total of ten different volumes of blood per sponge
This is one of the advantages for having isochoric process in the coffee maker. The constant volume process is a thermodynamic process in which the volume of the closed system undergoing a process remains constant. There is now work done on or by the gas. The volume of the water during the process where the coffee was made will not increases or decreases. Since the volume is remains constant, so there is no work transfer. Moreover, the advantages are increasing the internal energy
Lower Eagle Ford, the Delaware, DJ Basin and Gulf of Mexico, the company has been setting new records of production volumes quarter over quarter. Its position in the highest margin plays along with the strategy of cost cuttings and enhancing production efficiencies is allowing posting fresh production volume records. In the second quarter of 2016, the company generated sales volumes of 427 MBOE/d, representing a growth of 43% over the prior year’s quarter, and a growth of 18 percent on a sequential
Schizophrenia is a heterogeneous illness that may involve several pathophysiological gender differences. For men and women incidence risk peaks between 20-29 years of age, and women also have a second risk peak between 30–39 years of age. Negative symptoms including low motivation and withdrawal are more frequent in men and appear up to six years before diagnosis (Hafner, 2005; Hafner et al., 1993; Morgan et al., 2008). Women exhibit greater levels of depression and positive symptoms including sexual
ascending into the sky. This serves to justify why the change in pressure is much greater for a given depth in water than for the same rise in air. • Volume Volume can be defined as the quantity of three-dimensional space occupied by a liquid, solid or gas and is one of the most commonly used measurements worldwide. Several of the most typical unites of volume include litres, millilitres, cubic metres, cubic centimetres and gallons (Helmenstine, 2017). For instance, a 10-metre high rectangular tank with
would measure the volume of the butane produced. It was found the 0.16 g of Butane gas at 299°K and 1.005 atm held a volume of 100mL. The results supported the Ideal Gas Law, PV = nRT. In the second experiment, a reaction between magnesium and hydrogen chloride was used to produce hydrogen gas, whose volume was measured using a collection over water. Using this method, it was found that the resultant hydrogen gas had a volume
PRESSURE: Pressure can be simply defined as force per unit area and some of the major physical hazards can be related to the effects of Pressure on the diver Pressure = FORCE/AREA N/〖 M〗^2 The pressure on the diver under water is because of two forces acting simultaneously on him. A diver must always be in pressure balance of those forces at any depth which is defined as, The atmospheric weight over the surface of water which changes with altitude (atmospheric pressure) The weight of the water
