Introduction My name is Khaled, as a young boy growing up in Saudi Arabia, I was always fascinated by fast cars and machinery used in the oil fields. I have always wanted to be part of the maintenance personnel in either the car industry or oil mining sector. After graduation in the year 2012, I set my eyes on obtaining a degree related to my interests which are the maintenance of heavy machinery and fast moving cars, upon consultation with a variety of people, I was reliably informed that Mechanical Engineering was the safest bet for me. I would especially love the opportunity to work Saudi Aramco, an engineering firm is Saudi Arabia.
I hope to gain from my university degree

At the age of sixteen, my classmates even named me as one of the most promising students in a science related discipline. After graduating from high school in the year 2012, I set out doing numerous odd jobs as I tried to establish a firm footing for my future studies since it has always been my dream to obtain professional training in Mechanical Engineering, I made sure I submitted my application to every call for scholarship opportunities and made several applications to world acclaimed universities that would be able to give me the training I so desired. My academic pathway has, however, not been all a bed of roses, I struggled through high school to transition to a more mathematical Physics when we were done with the lower levels of high school, I actually had to enlist the help of a friend who seemed to have all the way with the computations, I loved the way he put beauty into everything he did. Curves had to be perfect, computations had to be explained all through the paper and conclusion reached had to be heavily linked to the discussions we had presented on the paper. Biology was another headache, I just had problems meeting the strict requirements imposed by the subject when I had always been liberal with words, Biology forced me to get straight to the point in the simplest form possible and at the same time make sure the words I used were as per specified in the various texts. In University, the academic environment is a
I decided to pursue engineering, hence opted for the science stream in high school. I spent innumerable hours during high school to pursue my interest in mathematics and prepare me for undergraduate study in this field. My effort and dedication paid off when I secured a seat in Delhi Technological University (DTU), one of India′s premier engineering institutes. The fascination with mathematics led me to choose Mathematics and Com- puting as my undergraduate field of
I am very much interested in the field of engineering and hope to pursue a career in engineering sometime in the future. Although I haven’t decided which branch of engineering I want to pursue yet, my experiences as an engineering magnet student at Wheaton High school and the different engineering programs I am a part of have ignited within me a passion for engineering.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the Dharmsinh Desai University with the grade ‘First Class with Distinction’. I finished my Baccalaureate in May 2015 scoring among the top 12 students in my class and top 5 in Environmental Engineering, which I believe, betrays my love for the subject.
The American way of business differs from many other countries across the world. Each company has their own set of tactics that they use to close big deals. Businesses from Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, tend to do things a bit differently. They take pride in getting to know the individuals from the other company before even disclosing any information to them. Meetings sometimes take place in less than formal locations such as coffee shops and cafes. The religious and social differences between the United States and Saudi Arabia make it challenging for Americans, unaware of the way of Saudi life, to do business there. They may experience cultural shock or even
I realize that there have been many things that have influenced my growth as an individual. However, because I am so often drawn to ideas in math and science, I’d have to conclude that these two fields of study pose the most compelling as far as personal development. My interest in these fields have impacted who I am today. As a younger student I did not really care much about school. In fact, my second grade teacher pronounced me a failure, but my parents believed in my strengths, and gradually school turned a corner for me. By the end of my sophomore year I had begun watching lectures of theoretical physics, and deep space astronomy from the World Science Festival. I went into my Junior year very ambitious and self motivated! My cumulative GPA within
For as long as I can remember I dreamed of one day becoming a very successful and accomplished engineer. During high school in Guyana, I crafted great plans. I would attend a prestigious university, gain my degree, then I would go on to be a productive, if not influential, member of society. My dreams turned into reality when the opportunity to study in the United States as an international student came before me. This time I had a solid plan. I wanted to study civil engineering with a minor in architecture and a specialization in sustainable construction. I would start out at Essex County College, then transfer to a four year university where I could complete my bachelor’s degree. I quickly completed my paperwork and was soon on my way to a world class education and to make a name for myself.
My education long-term goals are to go to college, and either become a doctor, artist, photographer, chef, or lawyer.
The enemy at the gate is not Russia, it's the Wahhabi's of Saudi Arabia. Those of us who comprehend the intrecit relations among foreign States, are well aware that Prime Minister Cameron is beating the drum of fear when he mentions the Russian Federation. God forbid, the Russian's exert themselves in Ukraine, and some of the other former Soviet Republics. Never mind the fact that the British and Americans continually interfere in the foreign affairs of sovereign nations, and overthrow democratically elected governments who refuse to serve as puppets to the globalists. Countless examples of this exist, including the overthrow of PM Mossadegh of Iran in 1953, as a direct result of the Iranians nationalizing the oil companies.
After endless nights in the Newman Library on campus, I had finally graduated Virginia Tech as a mechanical engineer. That summer I was travelling Europe with my sister, since the job offer I received from Pratt & Whitney allowed me to start working in late August. Well, it has been 3 years since I started working with Pratt & Whitney and it has been one of the best decisions I have made to work with this company. It has provided me with more education that i was not planning on doing, but I was studying for my master degree in mechanical engineering and the company was paying for the whole course.
I have successfully earned a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from SUNY, University at Buffalo in September 2013, which opened avenues for me and led me to my first full-time job. Since graduation, I’ve been on a ceaseless path of learning from working as a Quality Engineer for a small manufacturing company called HDM Hydraulics to where I am now as an R&D Quality Engineer for New Product Development at Medtronic. My academic pursuits continued even after starting
I have literally known what I want to be since I was a toddler. Of course, as a three-year old putting together Legos, I could not have verbalized that I want to be a mechanical engineer. However, it was at that time that I began to develop and use the skills that I will need for my desired career. I began to consider how parts went together and the different components necessary to build and sustain various systems. Part of the inspiration was the simple fun that I had while putting together these small toys, but part of my inspiration was my father. He was a maintenance turn-around coordinator at an oil refinery, which led to my own desire to work as a mechanical engineer in a refinery one day. As I grew older, my interest in mechanical engineering remained constant, though I expanded my interest beyond the oil refineries. In fact, after attending a pre-college program, Jackling Introduction to Engineering, offered by Missouri Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri in the summer of 2011, I realized that engineering was the perfect way to exercise my curiosity and inventiveness in a constructive and productive manner.
Saudi Arabia is the largest free market economy in the Middle East and North Africa, with a 25% share of GDP, and its geographical location provides easy access to export market in Europe, Asia and Africa. Executive summary: With the globalization of world business, Saudi Arabia has become an appealing market for foreign investors. But there has long been belief that the market of Saudi Arabia is difficult to develop and the culture there is inconsistent with the world. The problem of cross-cultural management arises as the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and its world partners continue to increase at an unprecedented rate. This paper analyses commercial and cultural feature of Saudi Arabia, presenting an understanding on the general cultural differences between Saudi Arabia and Singapore by applying different cultural dimensions. And it explains the influence of Arabia commercial culture on
The company that I will discuss in my paper is Saudi Electricity Company. I had worked there for around 10 years (2004-2013). I started as Design Engineer C, then, I got promoted several times until becoming Planner Engineer A. Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) was reformed in 2000 as a joint stock company with paid-up capital of 33 billion SAR ($8.8 billion). Three-quarter of its shares is belonging to the government and one-quarter owned by Saudi Aramco, the third largest crude oil company in the world, and individual shareholders. SEC is the only company which delivers all power aspects from generation to customer services in Saudi Arabia.
