What games or activities did you enjoy doing? Did you experience any health concerns during this time? How was your thinking changing during this time? The Eva Mitchell Child Development Center is a daycare center for employees and students of Hampton University. On October 10, 2017 I was part of the first group that attended the development center to participate in a classroom observation of students and teachers. We wanted to be able to observe both younger and older children. In order to secure good and well-rounded observations they split us into two groups. My group followed the oldest children of the two groups, around the ages of two to four years. The second group mirrored ages two and younger. After thirty minutes we were to switch classrooms and watch the succeeding group. Upon entering the room, you see colors surrounding every surface of the area. The walls are covered in the

The Developmental Assessment of Young Children-Second Edition (DAYC-2) is a test given to children from birth through age 5 to measure if there are any delays in the early childhood development through the five different domains: cognition, communication, social-emotional development, physical development, and adaptive behavior. From ages 6-11 you are considered early middle childhood. Around these ages you start changing your physical development by growing about 2 to 3 inches in height and 5 pounds in weight each year. A female body will mature quicker than the male body. Girls are slightly lighter and shorter than boys at ages 6-8, and then at age 9 it gets reversed. Around the middle childhood age the lower portion of the body is growing fastest, children appear to look long-legged. Girls end up having slightly more body fat and boys have more muscle. Between ages 6-8 the child should be able to do independent things like dress themselves, and tie their shoes. Children also start to develop more independence from their parents. It becomes important for a child

In this writing it will be discussing childhood development, as well as some vital issues that might come along during those stages of development. Child development consist of the stage where the child is developing physically, cognitively, socially and spiritually. During these stages of development a child is maturing from infancy to becoming a young adult. For many years theorist such as Sigmund Freud, Erik Erikson, and Lev Vygotsky’s have researched how children mature from infants to adulthood. Each of the theorist have profound facts to how children develop, but which of the three men are correct on their findings?
Observer visited a play place of a restaurant in New Jersey, Hackensack. Why I have chosen the place is easy to observe every part of child development such as cognitive, social emotional, language as well as physical at the same time. Observer performed the observation on April 28 from 1 pm to 3pm. The child was an Asian boy. He has strait short black hair with dark brown eyes and thin black eye brows. His height looked around 37 inches that he may be a little smaller than other early childhood children. He looks thin and has a full set of teeth inside his mouth, full cheeks, and a small button nose.
Today I called a previous staff member at my High school to perform an interview for a project in developmental psychology that is coming up. Before we started the interview she asked how everything was going, and when my alarm went off to go check my laundry she then stated “please tell me you were not just waking up and I responded by saying NO I have an 8:30 class I have been up for a few hours now”. This conversation and interview made my day and has also brought up some reflecting time for me afterwards. I have begun to see how much God has done not just for my family, but what has been done in my life. To think just last year, the thought of God moving our family to Dallas, Georgia was still something that none of our family or friends

If care is not taking, she will go into postpartum depression. The reason is because she had not spent quality time together with her baby. She did not develop full attachment since she had Marcus.
Human development is the act of expanding a person’s abilities to live extensive, healthy and innovative lives as a part of advancing one’s valued goals. It also supports engaging vigorously to participate in one’s development in an objective and viable manner. We are the true beneficiaries of human development. My topic is Early Childhood Development and this is the finding to know if attending pre-school or head start would help the child’s development and have the child more prepared for kindergarten. This topic is based on the social learning theory and how each family teaches their child differently.
