Air Pollution
Earth is the only place in the universe that can support human life. It is very important that we realize this fact and take very good care of it. Various human activities cause the destruction of earth. Human beings can live a few days without food and water however humans can last only a few seconds without oxygen. Various human activities lead to the aggravation of the quality of air. Gases produced by human activities mainly due to exploitation of resources and industrialization cause air pollution. Green house gases mainly chlorofluorocarbons; carbon

Currently carbon dioxide is responsible for 57% of the global warming trend.
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s): CFC’s are lowering the average concentration of ozone in the stratosphere. “Since 1978 the use of CFC’s in aerosol cans has been banned in the United States, Canada and most Scandinavian countries. Aerosols are still used around the world and accounts for 25% of global CFC’s use”. (Miller 448). Spray cans discarded or leaking refrigerator and air conditioning equipment and the burning plastic foam products release the CFC’s into the atmosphere. Depending on the type, CFC’s stay in the atmosphere from 22 to 111 years.” Chlorofluorocarbons move up to the stratosphere gradually over several decades. Under high energy ultra violet (UV) radiation break them down and release chlorine atoms, which speed up the breakdown of ozone (O3) into oxygen (O2). Chlorofluorocarbons, also known as Freons, are green house gas that contributes to global warming. Photochemical air pollution is commonly referred to as “smog”. Smog is the contraction of the words smoke and fog, smog has been caused by water condensing on smoke particles, usually from burning coal. With the introduction of petroleum to replace coal economies in countries, photochemical smog has become predominant in many cities, which are located in sunny warm and dry climates with many motor vehicles. The worst episodes of

In the field of public health, when looking to devise new interventions it’s vital to examine not only past and current intervention efforts but also their failures and successes. Notably, the ideas, observations, shortcomings or failures of past interventions serve as the blueprint for enhancements and error avoidance in both current and future efforts. Subsequently, failure to learn from past interventions provers counterproductive to all efforts aimed at achieving future successes; hence the significance of the adages, we learn from our mistakes and when we know better, we do better. Therefore, it’s equally important to apply this same logic when looking to advance old methods or develop new environmental health interventions.
Air and water pollution is one of the biggest problems the environment faces today. It is one of the highest leading cause of death. Air and water pollution has been affecting the environment for many years causing many diseases among people especially children. I will study and examine the early childhood growth between two countries which are Australia and Tanzania. I will discuss how clean and polluted their air and water is for each country. Their access to clean water. I will also explain the effects that can occur when water is contaminated. How children are affected when they don 't have access to primary essentials and how each country and their environment and living condition might threatened a child 's life.
Why do Americans buy so many products knowing they are causing pollution? That may be because they enjoy shopping. Every product causes some sort of pollution. For instance, automobiles cause a great amount of pollution. The sad part is that the mass production of automobiles has been growing larger every year, ever since the Model T Fords came out. Between 1908 and 1927, Ford produced about 15 million Model T cars, which is on average 790 thousand cars produced every year. Today, the company sells about 2.5 million automobiles annually. In other words, Ford produces over 3 times as many automobiles today. Over production and consumption of automobiles induces the consumption of fossil fuels. Consuming gasoline to run cars was the idea of over a century ago. With the quantity of the production of cars today, it is not efficient to use the same old method to run cars. Water and oxygen are most vital for humans. If we pollute all of the water and air in the world, extinction will be our only option. Americans should eliminate the excessive consumption of automobiles because it leads to overconsumption of fossil fuels, which causes pollution. Three common types of pollution are air pollution, water pollution, and noise pollution.
Growing up with busy parents lead me to looked forward to car rides. I remember that I would rush to the car in pure excitement so that I can view the beautiful skies dashing pass me as I talk to my parents. It did not matter where we would go or do, I did not care, as long as I got to be in the car with my family. Music quietly played in the background as the sun set and my eyes would grow heavy and soon I would be sound asleep. It was not until recently when I visited New York City that I fully awoken to the harsh reality of automobiles. My memory of the once magnificent skies darkened by smog and the music could no longer be heard over the loud noises of destruction.

Cars have been around for over 100 years and they have provided a fast way of transportation. However, many people do not realize the harmful emissions that cars exert and the detrimental effects that they pose on environments and ecosystems around the world. Hawaii is a small state and tourism is what drives our economy. Activities such as hiking, snorkeling, and shopping are some of the main attractions in Hawaii. As a result, tourism causes a lot of car use and that paired with the rapidly increasing population of Hawaii, air pollution will destroy the environment and organisms of Hawaii. It is important that the people of Hawaii focus on this issue as soon as possible in order to save the environment and tourism. I want to try to persuade and show the public about the benefits that an electric car can have and show the negative effects that petroleum and diesel fuel using cars can have on the environment by using posters and ads and also making a non-profit organization that uses volunteers to help spread the word about the negative effects of car emissions and the benefits of electric vehicles..
Imagine living in a world where smog is everywhere and wearing a mask is the only way to step outside. Since the smog is betting so bad, it is impossible to see outside a window. Now, imagine a world where people have learned to use alternative energy. Gas powered cars are rarely ever used and power companies only produce alternative energy sources. No one has to worry about carbon emissions causing global warming ever again. Living in this type of world is almost impossible due to the fact that too many factories are releasing carbon emissions into the air. Factories that are essential in producing electricity and cars are burning fuel and release carbon emissions into the air.
Global warming is caused by human activity. This global warming in turn, causes hurricanes. The hurricanes will destroy the human population main resources. This will lower people into having less important resources such as: food, shelter and water. Having less resources could lead to poverty, which is known in developing countries such as: India, Philippines, and Haiti . There are also changes in the oceans that are being affected. This change occurring could lead to the ocean over flooding due to contaminating the ocean caused by humans because humans have an impact on the environment. Humanity needs to cut down the production in the coal industry because people are burning the coal; this is causing the coal to pollute the air people breath.
Pollution has no boundaries and can never be controlled, it seems as a health issue rather than just environmental issue. The factors affecting pollution are vehicles, Industries and forest fires and due to these factors, the environment is contaminated and affects the natural characteristics of the atmosphere. India is facing quite a serious pollution problem in many cities such as Delhi, Gwalior, Allahabad, Patna, and Lucknow according to the reports of WHO and with the recent problem being in Delhi where the air pollution spiked beyond acceptable levels being the 11th most polluted city in the world. This severe pollution problem affects the people who are already healthy while it affects more to the people with existing diseases. However, people cannot migrate to other cities due to the pollution problem and as an alternate solution they started to use the expensive indoor air filters.
An increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) leads to worsening environmental condition in poor countries. This inverse relation is shown in the environmental Kuznets’s curve. Economic growth is perceived to be able to achieve both economic and environmental objectives, whereas the environmental policy may impede economic growth. This turns limits to economic growth and environmentally unfavorable stage of development.
To a great degree the eminent problem is the air pollution we breathe. Who can help amend the air we breathe. In order to improve the quality of the air, people have to be aware of the specific mode of pollution and the effect of it. The traffic-pollution causes affliction and distress to individuals. The reason for this tragedy is due in part by every one of us. High concentration of vehicle exhausts is the main source of air pollution in urban areas. Neighborhoods in proximity to heavy traffic areas can negatively impact a community’s health conditions and outcomes. Those people that are disproportionately exposed to great levels of exhaust fumes are those who have a low socioeconomic and educational status and are part of race/ethnicity
Air is very important to us because it is what we need to stay alive.
Air pollution has become a major problem in the United States. The agricultural industry must help maintain air quality. By doing that the United States has started trying to make machines that will help reduce the pollution in the air which will help the environment. One way the United States has tried stopping air pollution and that is to create a solar powered machine which decreases air pollution. But also there are some ways that the people of the United States can help stop air pollution.
