Ending of The Ravine Behind her in the living room, someone cleared his throat. She panicked, she didn’t know is she should turn around or not. She didn’t know if she wanted to see what frightful thing would be standing in her living room. Behind her, she could hear someone walking closer and closer to her very slowly. As Lavinia went to turn around she grabbed a glass figurine. As the turned around she swung the glass figurine at the man in the living room. The figurine broke when it hit the man in the head. The unknown man was now laying on the floor not responding. Lavina called one of her Francine because she didn’t know what to do. On the phone Lavinia said, “ Oh please help me! When I got home there was a man standing in my living
Has there ever been anyone who isn’t afraid? In The Ravine, Vinny is afraid. But his friends don’t act like it. They seem brave, but I don’t believe it. Vinny and Joe-Boy are 15 year old Hawaiian boys and are best friends. They’re going to the ravine to cliff jump and swim. Two weeks and one day before their visit, a boy named Butchie died. The two friends, Vinny and Joe-Boy, are different in many ways, but similar in a few ways.
“Selene, and well when I met Kaylynn she left in a hurry to help her sister and then she ran into her sister and I went to go help them and then you the one with the cat. You ran by and then Kaylynn left and me and Kaylynn’s sister went after Kaylynn.”
She felt a chill run down her spine as she had a sense that someone was watching her from afar. Slowly turning to look behind her, she looked out in the distance of the woods by her house. When she felt certain that no one was there she proceeded the rest of the way to her front door.
It was Lydia's birthday, a beautiful Saturday evening, and the entire pack had gathered to attend her annual bash. Derek had even, after consulting with Deaton, given his betas each a small amount of wolfsbane extract to put in their drinks.
Finally spotting the room, she swiped the card and entered, wondering if she was there first, or if he had left already. She was really nervous, a feeling she wasn't that used to experiencing, and that she absolutely hated. She was taking the pitifully low class interior decoration when she felt something cold against her head - it had to be a gun - and someone pushing her in.
Her body went rigid, when a snort from behind her caught her attention, the air that brushed across her flesh sent goose bumps along her skin as the hair on the back of her neck slowly stood up. She slowly turned to
“I found her shoe Frank,” Lewis says quickly, “it was at the end of Hosier Lane, it was if she was running and it slipped off, someone was definitely coming after her”
She lowered the knife and it grew even brighter. They hid behind the door trying not to make a sound. The tall, skinny lady looked like she hadn’t gotten any sleep in days, and was very concerned of the bright as the sun pumpkin in front of her. She gently touched the pumpkin with the knife, and it looked like guts and pumpkin seeds were about to splatter all over the walls. The knife went about a half and inch in the pumpkin and a very strong gush of wind went in a circle around the pumpkin like it was forming its own tornado. The lady slowly backed away from the pumpkin till she was pressed up against the wall like something was holding her back, in the dark tiny room in the cellar of the house.
As she walked towards the white door of her bedroom, she hears distant gurgling. As if the sewers were backed up or the kitchen sink is clogged. Carefully twisting the knob, she was about to take a step out, but was immediately taken aback.
Percival hadn't lain with a woman in months. His last lady friend – his only lady friend – decided she preferred another man.
Jaylee sprinted up the stairs to her bedroom. She closed the door and stood there, waiting. The door slowly creaked open, and her heart was hammering against her chest like a zoo animal trapped in a cage.
After a minute or so, -unknown to me- Angelica was walking back down the stairs. She was quieter than a mouse and you could swear she was still upstairs. Sarah and I sat silently when suddenly, out of nowhere, I hear Angelica shout from behind me,
The word echoed off the walls, the current occupants of Albus Dumbledore’s office having shouted it simultaneously
I was as frightened a mouse, we would get in deep trouble if we were caught looking for Atticus. I said looking at the jail house, “That’s funny, jail doesn’t have an outside light”. When were drawing closer we saw Atticus reading a newspaper on a chair. Scout made started running toward Atticus but I stopped him. I said, “We may not disturb him, he may not like it. Let's go home, I just wanted to see where he was.” I was happy that Atticus was safe but we needed to get back home so no one would find out about this.
Twilight segued into a blanket of soft obsidian darkness as Allie lay there feeling alone and helpless. Outside her door, the city began to come to life as lamplighters lit the gas lamps along the Battery. It was so quiet in the house that she could hear someone several blocks away in the midst of a fracas. They argued back and forth for a few minutes and then became quiet. A little while later, ribald laughter wafted through the streets from the bars and eateries near the wharf, hearing others laughter and happiness only saddened her more. For hours, she lay there wondering, worrying, what if- what if the Yankees caught Thomas, or what if something else happened to him. What if she never saw or heard from him again- could she go on with her life? At that moment in time, she did not know that she could…
