America’s Border Control is a security system that protects America’s borders and makes sure that no terrorist or illegal immigrants enter America without a green card. The border control has been paid billions and maybe trillions of dollars to protect our borders.
America’s border control needs to be lowered, it’s not just Mexicans are entering America illegally the statistics of immigration from 2013 are
-Mexicans 14%
-Chinese 7.2%
-Indians 6.9%
-Philippines 5.5%
-Dominican Republic 4.2%
The highest percent is Mexicans but there are more races out there coming into America, the border patrol (not just the Mexican-American border) Immigrants go to different countries and not just America, different races are entering other countries.

The United States of America has many different races on its own, not just the statistics itself, mostly all the races are in America like the Japanese, African Americans, Mexicans, Muslims, Chinese, Dominicans, Cubans, Canadians, and Irish. Many cultures and races, many colors and religions, many styles, many languages and slang that these races have. Most humans on the earth want peace and equality which every race treated the same and every religion shall be respected as a the other religion, every human on this earth are mostly the same, yes the language may be different, yes someone may believe in something else, yes they may have different skin color, but everyone is the same no matter what, yes some people on the earth have different personalities but besides that everyone is the same.
Border patrol is actually tearing families apart, deportation is tearing up this peace and equality, America needs to lessen the border patrol guards and control. Yes maybe like searching for any weapons or drugs would be fine but at least give the person a chance, if he or she does not have a green card then yes they should wait until they get a green card and if they wait a month, that is fine but waiting for a year is ridiculous, every immigrant deserves a chance or opportunity to escape poverty or even war, border control needs to turn it down a notch because not every immigrant is leaving their countries because they want to, or because
The United States Border Patrol is a police force located all over America. Most people think the only job Border Patrol has is chasing down immigrants due to the media coverage on the Mexican border. Although it is a big part of the job it is not the only thing done. The main position for agents is in Mexico, another main location is Canada. Between the two locations 21,000 agents patrol 6,000 miles. (Department of Homeland Security, n.d.) The Border Patrol’s keeps illegal people, drugs, and weapons of mass destruction from entering our country. Another major responsibility is to prevent terrorist from trying to cross the border. In order to prevent this from happening Border Patrol have check points with man power alert at all times. Equipped with the best equipment from the government they stop virtually everything crossing. I along with most of the country feel that this is a very important job in the United States.
Although the issue with illegal immigration is prominent, the solution is not as clear. Some say the annual quota of 20,000 Mexicans should be raised (Anderson 65). This does not help the fact that there is a 5-9 year wait for over 1 million immigrants to enter the country legally (Anderson 57). "Most illegals are of working age and looking for jobs" (Anderson 57). They don't want to wait years to get a job. Otherwise, there would not be near as many people crossing the border every year. Some people call for a border fence in order to lower the number of illegals (Marcovitz 27). In 2006, Congress began a $2.5 billion project to fence nearly 700 miles of the Mexican border (Marcovitz 27). Many are still pushing for the entire border to be fenced off (Marcovitz 27). Currently, only about one third of the border has been fenced, and over 1,000 miles still remain open (Marcovitz 28). The fence is patrolled by border officers. In 1992 there were about 3,500 border patrol officers. In 2010 that number had grown to over 20,000 (Marcovitz
One of the pros for building the fence is that “control of the borders are required for national security”. With the rise of terrorist groups around the world including
Security, however you may think of it the measures we take for it can never enough. It's like insurance you have it not because you want something to happen but because you know that things do happen. That is the United States Border Patrol and Customs they are our first line of defense to the war on drugs and the war on terrorism, for that they have the illegal immigration policy and the pros and cons (www.kyma.com/news/securing-america/646148044.).
Hispanic origin is next with 2,336,076 or 28.6 percent, and black/African American non-Hispanic only constituting 22.8 percent or 1,861,295. Asian non-Hispanic had 12.6 percent of the population or 1,028,119 persons, non-Hispanic of two or more races 1.8 percent or 148,676 persons, and some other race non-Hispanic 1.0 percent or 78,063.
The U.S has been known as the land of opportunities, so of course people from all over the world would try to leave their countries that weren’t thriving economically after World War I, this lead to immigration into the US to rise significantly. “Every year, the State Department issued a limited number of visas; only those immigrants who had obtained them and could present valid visas were permitted entry.” Because of the limited number of visas, the number of illegal attempts into the country began to occur. The Border Patrol was established when illegal aliens and entries started becoming more frequent, the strict guidelines also causing deportation to go on as well.
Should the United states change the border security? I believe that the United states should not increase border control because the immigrants are going to figure a way around it anyways. Also the immigrants that manage to come into the country will fill in more jobs. It is against the law to hire illegal immigrants, but many employers will do so anyways because illegal immigrants will often perform menial, low paying jobs that no one wants to do such as picking crops.
The U.S. Border Patrol to me is very important to the United States of America and to me as well. Without the Border Patrol, America would be a goat standing in the middle of a wolf cage. The Border Patrol and their agents border the boundaries of America so we can be safe in our homes. People don’t realize how important any kind of law enforcement is, until the day that they need assistance comes. I don’t take our men and women who protect us Americans; it is something that not everyone can say that they have. I have no one in my family that has worked with the Border Patrol, and I want to be the first in my family to join the Border Patrol. I am from Del Rio Texas, a border town neighbors with Mexico. The U.S. Border
A nation without borders is not a nation. Today, every country is putting efforts to secure its borders not only from terrorists and drugs smuggling, but also from the illegal immigration. All these recurring activities have sparked the United States to secure its borders against illegal immigrants and terrorism by creating a special department named the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS is headed by the Secretary of Homeland Security. After the terrorist attack of 9/11, terrorism and illegal immigration were two striking issues for the DHS. To solve these issues, the Department of Homeland Security further created two immigration enforcement agencies: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in year 2003. The United States has over seven-thousand miles of border to cover each day. The US shares its borders with Canada and Mexico. That’s why the CBP was established to safeguard our borders through the deployment of technology, personnel, and infrastructure. The US Border Patrol is the most visible of DHS’s agencies and is now touching majority of population than ever before. It has increased its strength to more than 21,000 agents, up from 8,500 in 2001and 4,000 in 1994(17). The primary function of the Border Patrol Agency is apprehension of terrorists, drug interdiction and immigration enforcement. The book ‘Border Patrol Nation’ by Todd Miller is a classic example of the Border Patrol
United States Border Patrol has been around since 1904 enforcing and regulating laws under the immigration and Nationality Act. U.S. border patrol is now under the Department of Homeland Security, which was created as a response to the attacks of September 11, 2001. Over the years, their jurisdiction and missions have changed to better protect the safety of nation. Although border patrol is a need for any nation, their extensive acceptations to constitutional laws can often be taken advantage of. The mission of the U.S. border patrol should be to prevent illegal aliens, which are a threat to American society, from reaching their purpose. Frequently, their purpose can be confused or executed in a bias manner.
In 1924 the border patrol was formed to protect our nation by decreasing the chances of dangerous people or illegal items to enter the United States between the ports of entry. Although the world has changed since then, Border Patrol's main mission has always stayed the same. Border Patrol is also "specifically responsible for patrolling about 6,000 miles of Mexican and Canadian international land borders and about over 2,000 miles of coastal waters
Each year roughly 162,000 illegal immigrants from foreign countries illegally enter the U.S. Not only does this cause overpopulation but it increases drug activity which also promotes a higher crime rate, damages job availability, and also causes significant issues in relation to government spending. I undoubtedly believe that we should intensify our efforts to keep illegal aliens out of our country and keep the idea of tighter borders in our agenda.
U.S Customs and Border Protection has also been in charge in keeping terrorist and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S laws (Peak, 2009, Pg. 164). Consequently, immigrants have been victims of human trafficking. According to Larry K. Gaines from the textbook Criminal Justice in Action, U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has played an important role in focusing the nation’s borders. Their mission is to detain illegal aliens and deport them to their country, and disrupting trafficking operations. In 2008, ICE removed about
The U.S should increase restriction on the current border security system. According to nation reported, that exist a lot of gaps in the nation border of security system to keep people stay away immigrant to the U.S. Hence, that effects to the life of everyone around all states such as lost jobs, lower wage and increased the number of crimes and terrorisms. Last year, more than ten million undocumented aliens reside to the United States; that lead the population in our country increasing 700,000 per year. Within this situation, millions of people lost their
Most recently, studies by the Pew Charitable Trust demonstrate that the number of illegal immigrants from Mexico entering the United States has actually been declining, resulting in a net negative number of Mexican immigrants entering the United States. Reasons for this trend include the Great Recession of 2008, and an improving economy in Mexican, making it more attractive for Mexicans to stay in Mexico. In addition, stepped-up U.S. border enforcement has reduced the likelihood of success for
