Diabetes is a disorder that is formed by high blood glucose. Diabetes is the seventh leading cause for death in the United States. It occurs most often in adults, but it’s one of the most chronic disorders in children. Individuals suffering from hyperglycemia have low production of insulin. American Diabetes Association is trying to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Diabetes is a serious issue and 29.1 million people in the US are diagnosed for Diabetes. Diabetes is caused by your pancreas not making enough insulin. Insulin is used for controlling your blood pressure and if your body doesn’t have enough insulin you will get hyperglycemia.
There are three types of diabetes Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational diabetes. Unfortunately there is no

One thing that they do to help is find gadgets that can track your blood pressure. For example one gadget that is called the Yofimeter and helps keeps track of your fitness activities and has up to 100 strips to find your sugar levels. American Diabetes Association also has marathons and goals to stay active. They do these things so you can stay active and make these things into a hobby. You can do anything from gardening to playing tennis to walking with your friends. This is what the American Diabetes Association does to make a difference.

However Diabetes can be managed through physical activity, diet and in high levels of diabetes using of insulin and oral medications to keep the blood sugar levels low. Another important impact of diabetes in human body is that it can increase risk of high blood pressure, and high cholesterol too. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s report “More than 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, up from the previous estimate of 26 million in 2010”. Throughout, you will gain more information about diabetes, what organs it can affect, symptoms, complications a diabetes patient with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes may come across. There are tests such as glycated hemoglobin (A1C) test, fasting blood sugar test, and oral glucose tolerance test (Mayo Clinic, n.d) that show what type of diabetes you have. There are treatments, such as insulin injections or an insulin pump that can be used to treat diabetes (WebMD, n.d).There are new research studies that can possibly cure diabetes but, are very complex, they are still being developed and trying to find
Diabetes is a common disease, which can be a serious life-long illness caused by high level of glucose in the blood. This condition is when the body cannot produce insulin or lack of insulin production from the beta cells
Diabetes is a disease where the body is unable to produce or use insulin effectively. Insulin is needed for proper storage and use of carbohydrates. Without it, blood sugar levels can become too high or too low, resulting in a diabetic emergency. It affects about 7.8% of the population. The incidence of diabetes is known to increase with age. It’s the leading cause of end-stage renal disease in the US, and is the primary cause of blindness and foot and leg amputation. It is known to cause neuropathy in up to 70% of diabetic patients. Individuals with diabetes are twice as likely to develop cardiovascular disease. There are two types of diabetes: Type 1 and Type 2.
Diabetes, Diabetes Mellitus, is a chronic illness this means that it has no cure and the symptoms persist over a long period of time. This illness is a result of an imbalance of hormones, insulin, produced in the pancreas. Insulin plays an important role in how the body uses food. Insulin enables the cells in the bloodstream to absorb and use glucose for fuel. If the pancreas produces too little or no insulin or if the insulin doesn’t work properly the person may become diabetic. Therefore, diabetics are not able to properly convert food into fuels needed by the body to function, which can seriously lead to physical consequences.
According to the United States Library of Medicine, diabetes is a disease that occurs when the body does not make or use insulin correctly, therefore causing fluctuating amounts of glucose in the blood. Diabetes is a disease that affects millions of adults and children from various cultures. According to the American Diabetes Association (2014), someone is diagnosed with diabetes every 19 seconds. The Center of Disease Control and Prevention most recent statistical report indicated there were 29.1 million adults and children affected by diabetes. Those numbers are astounding. Unfortunately, the American Diabetes Association (2014) estimates by year of 2050, one out of three adults will have diabetes. Therefore, it is imperative that adults take aggressive measures to prevent this disease. By the same token, diabetes diagnosed in children and adolescent is becoming more prevalent every day. The American Diabetes Association (2014) reported there were about 216, 00 children in the United States with diabetes. It is predicted that one out three children will be diagnosed with diabetes in their life. The statistics for both adults and children with diabetes are frightening; however, early detection can help lower the risk of developing the debilitating effects of diabetes.
American Diabetes Association was founded to stop the rising percentage of diabetes patients and to face the negatives effects of it. The ADA is very important because diabetes is a serious and dangerous condition. It is concerning how many adults and young people had been affected by diabetes. The country needs an association like this to conduct and administrate the funding to prevent and develop researches for the
But if it’s not taken care of, uncontrolled diabetes can damage a persons’ vision, cause nerve damage and infections to the feet. Also, it can cause poor blood circulation and kidney disease. Many of these problems can be prevented by having a low fat, low alcohol diet, maintaining a reasonable body mass, and working out thirty minutes five days a week. Performing these activities can also help reduce the risk of getting diabetes.
Nearly 16 million people in the United States have diabetes, the disease classified as a problem with insulin. The problem could be that your body does not make insulin, does not make enough, or it simply does not know how to use it properly. Diabetes is also known as "diabetes mellitus".
Watching what you eat is an important part of managing your diabetes. A proper diet can greatly reduce your risk of complications. There are a number of foods that you will need to avoid if you have diabetes. Below is a list of some of the foods to avoid:
Diabetes is a chronic disease in which a person’s glucose (blood sugar) is higher than normal. After our bodies have digested foods and turned them into sugar, the pancreas produces insulin. Insulin helps the body take sugar (blood sugar) out of the bloodstream and helps to shuttle it into our cells to be used for energy. If a person has diabetes, their bodies either doesn’t make enough insulin (Type II) or the body doesn’t use the insulin as it should (Type I). Either of these conditions can result in high sugar (glucose) levels (CDC, 2013).
Diabetes mellitus, or better known as Diabetes, is an endocrine system disorder. In this case, your body is unable to produce enough or any insulin at all. Insulin, produced by the pancreas, has a very important role. When sugar is ingested from food, it is turned into energy for the cells in our body. Without insulin, the transfer of sugar into the cells would be compromised. Insulin is also vital to keep the right balance of sugar in the bloodstream (Hess-Fischl, 2015). If too much insulin is produced, blood sugar levels are decreased resulting in hypoglycemia. Hyperglycemia occurs when the blood sugar levels are increased (Sargis, n.d.).
Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar)1 . In 2011 The American Diabetes Association repoted a 25.8 million people in America living with diabetes 2. Diabetes is a illness that can be caused by the body not being able to produce enough insulin and or cells in the body not responding adequately to the insulin provided. Insulin which is produced by the pancrease, regulates the amount of glucose (which provieds energy to all cells) in the blood.
Diabetes is a major problem in our society today. Many people have heard about the disease; however, they do not know too much about its complications. Diabetes is a chronic, progressive and lifelong condition that affects the body’s ability to use the energy found in food (WebMD, 2016). Many new cases are confirmed every year and unfortunately, many go undiagnosed for years. Diabetes is a serious disease and need to be taking seriously. The disease can lead to many other health problems such as blindness, nerve damage and kidney diseases. The more the community understand and made aware of the seriousness of the disease, the better it can be control and or prevented.
Diabetes has been out for thousands of years and still no cure. researchers and scientist have been searching and searching for ways to overcome this disease but nothing yet. Everyone goals are to either improve, prevent, or cure this disease. Diabetes became very known around the seventeenth century because of a high percentage of people was found with sugar in their urine and blood. Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases that affects our society worldwide. The average person in this world does not know anything about this disease. The diabetes association said “In 2013 the estimate of 328 million people had diabetes throughout the world”. Society today need to be aware of what we are up against with this disease.
