Maybe it is the way she smiles at you. The perfume she wears lingers around like a memory of someone to love. The way she can fix critical situations with a simple hug. A mother teaches one from wrong and right, always to love and never fight. Someday most will grow up to be just like a mother.
Becoming a mother is continuous process of change. The first month the amniotic sac is taking shape, filling with amniotic fluid. This gives your loved one a comfortable place to grow into a strong independent individual. Along with a place to grow, a mother’s placenta gives her child the nutrient’s needed to sustain life inside the womb. It also acts as a filter allowing waste and unwanted matter to exit your child’s temporary home. According to the

Baby is definitely ready to enter the world! “You may notice that your baby moves less due to tight space. Your baby’s position changes to prepare itself for labor and delivery. Babies will start to lift and turn their heads, using their arms to support their upper body when lying on their stomach.
In the initial few months babies will recognise familiar voices and faces, they will try to 'people please' and bay for attention by performing for their audience through laughter and giggles. They will enjoy playing games with others such as peek a boo.
At 1 year, babies are able to sit up and feed themselves using fingers. They also know what they like and do not like, food that they don’t like usually ends up on the floor. Babies are now able to understand more of what is going on and communicate with long strings of babble.
| There are many physical developments that a child starts to develop by 6months. Some of these include; being able to turn their heads when they hear sounds or see movements, when they are being fed they can stare at the adult’s face, when they hear a familiar voice they will smile, put whatever they have into their mouth and be able to hold and shake a rattle.
Babies at three months have now grown in both height and weight. They are wearing new sets of clothes and have changed in many ways. Some babies have learned the difference between night and day and are able to sleep through the night, which is great help for parents. Babies are also crying less and most parents are getting better at knowing at what their cries mean. Babies are starting to sleep a little less and are far more alert. They may smile quite often and show that they know the sound of their parents’ voices and movements. Babies’ bodies are also developing. They are able to lift their heads up and look about when they are put on their tummies.
Your baby’s muscles start functioning in synchronization with her brain. Hence her movements are not random jerks anymore; you will feel those movements as deliberate and strong. For example, you may feel a lot of kicking and wriggling when you lie down in particular positions. Believe it or not, your baby does not like those postures and is kicking you to find a comfortable position within your womb.

In 6th months, the fetus goes into the fetal position, has little fat, and numerous organs for breathing, body temperature, and movement. The fetus has three hundred bones and the brain is smooth. Also, hair grows on the head, body, and facial features and ears develop. The fetus grows approximately 11 inches (28 centimeters) long and weighs about 1.5 pounds (680 grams). After 7 months, a layer of fat increases, skin smooths out, and the uterus is the size of the fist.
It is amazing how fast the heart starts beating during the prenatal stage. In the second and third months of development, the embryo begins to develop into human form. They start to grow their mouth, nose, eyes, eyelids, and ears. The authors intended audience for this article would probably be mothers who are either becoming a new mother or a mother again.
The sub stages of sensorimotor starts with Reflexive Schemes (0-1 month) During this sub stage, the child starts to develop what the environment around him is like, solely based on inborn reflexes such as looking, and sucking. Primary circular Reactions (1-4 months), during this stage the child develops sensation and a few different schemas. For example, the infant will start sucking on her or his thumb not noticing their actions, however, later they will intentionally do the action again. These actions occur because the child finds pleasure out of it. Secondary Circulation Reactions (4-8 months), this sub stage, as we can tell the infant seems to become more focused of what is going on around him in the world. The infant will repeat specific
At 16 weeks, your baby is the size of an avocado weighing around 100 grams and measuring almost 12cm. The baby will develop a lot more in the next three weeks almost doubling in size and so will the placenta. Arms and legs start to grow and eyes and ears begin to form. Tissue grows that will become your baby's spine and other bones. Baby's heart continues to grow and beats at a regular rhythm. The baby's arms and legs have grown longer and hands and feet begin to form into little paddles. The baby's brain continues to grow and the lungs start to form. The baby's facial features become more distinct, and by the end of the 10th week of pregnancy, the baby is no longer an embryo but is now a fetus. Weeks eleven through fourteen, the baby's eyelids close and will not reopen until about the 28th week. Baby's face has formed. Appendages are long and thin. The fingers and toes now have nails and genitals appear. The head is roughly half of baby's size. Weeks’ fifteen through eighteen, the baby's skin is almost transparent. “A baby is something you carry inside you for nine months, in your arms for three years, and in your heart until the day you die” (Mary Mason par. 3). The author is introducing to the readers that the experience of being pregnant is nothing like you would ever expect. First and foremost, in order for a woman to get pregnant, they must have sexual intercourse. During sexual intercourse a male 's semen is expelled into the vagina, then the sperm enters the cervix and uterus, until it reaches the fallopian tubes. Once it’s reached the fallopian tubes the egg and the sperm join, resulting in a fertilized egg. Being pregnant is when an embryo or fetus develops in a woman 's uterus. The essence of pregnancy; it’s the most breathtaking thing you’ve ever experienced, but on the other it’s a long way from conception to birth. There’s no doubt that pregnancy induces a similar diversity of emotional and physiological responses, such as laughing, crying, screaming, dry skin, and all in just one day. Nothing compares to the miracle and magic of pregnancy. It’s a chance to be involved in life’s creative process. During this process, one will experience major changes. Being pregnant is like one moment one is thrilled, impatient and joyous. Then the next one feels anxious about a million unknowns. One of the ways one can increase their chances for a successful pregnancy is to learn as much as one can about what is happening, so one won’t be so overwhelmed. Simply educating oneself about
Childbirth, also known as labor, delivery, birth, partum, or parturition, is the culmination the end of pregnancy with the delivery of newborn infant(s) from a woman 's uterus. A normal childbirth can be categorized into three stages of labor they are: the dilation of the cervix, descent and birth of the infant, and the delivery of the placenta or after birth. There is a trend that has been rising where the mother consumes the placenta after the birth. This is to retain the vitamins and minerals that were present while the woman was pregnant and is a way to continue for a period of time to give the same vitamins and minerals to the infant.
During the gestational period, the baby is exposed to different sounds and noises, which will affect his behavior and skills. The first sounds that a baby hears are the sound of the womb, and those that come from his mother; such as, her beating heart, her gurgling stomach and her breathing. Also, the voice of the mother is an important sound, which the baby listen to very carefully because it differs from what he usually hears. “Some researchers have discovered that newborns become calmer and more self-regulated when exposed to intrauterine sound,” (Whitwell, 2) this is the reason why we found the sound of the ocean and water so relaxing. It is also consider that all these first sound would later develop our sense of rhythm.
