Special Bond
(Critique on the Ending from the Parable of the Prodigal Son)

Parents and their children have such a special bond that is not comparable to others. Children screw up a lot and parents always forgive their kids in the end no matter what the situation. The screw ups happen probably more often than parents would like, but that is part of the learning process for kids as they grow up. This is exactly what happens in the story from the Parable of the Prodigal Son from The King James Bible Luke 15:11-32. In this story a son is granted a fortune from his father because he wants to leave his home. The father agrees and grants the kid this fortune and the kid runs off and disappears for a while. The kid randomly shows back up, not having spoken to any of the family since his departure, only to tell them he is back because he lost all of his money. He blew it on a bunch of gambling and women basically. The way the father reacts and treats the return of his son is somewhat understanding, but in other senses I don’t agree with how he treats his son on the return of this. To begin with, I totally agree with the fact that the father is extremely excited that his son is alive and back. Like I said, a parent and child have such an amazing bond that any parent would be beyond happy to know their child is still alive and well. When you haven’t heard from your kid in such a long time and you begin to think that they are dead, any parent would be overjoyed at the sight. Like it
