1, Bluewater Shopping Centre, based in Greenhithe, Kent, is used by many people on a daily basis to get their everyday needs and presents for their loved ones. It is 150,000m2 containing 330 UK and international brands and 50 restaurants and bars. 4b, Another way that technology can have an impact on technology is with the technology that is becoming the new phase in the United States. For example virtual greeters are lately being assessed in the customer market to see how customers respond which if well will soon be brought to the UK. Virtual greeters are said to be a lot cheaper to run than to pay employees which is obviously attracting the business owners as they believe they will save money and make more profit. Another technology that is being tested is the advice-giving mirrors; these can be used by makeup stools, clothes stores and other personal grooming stores. The mirror will save companies having to pay employees to give customers advice as the mirror will do it. A bonus of the mirrors is that a customer can simply hold an outfit up to the mirror and the mirror will suggest accessories to go with the outfit, although when the mirror is not being used by customers the retailers can play advertisements or videos via the mirror. Another technology that is going to affect Bluewater is touch screens; these can be put into stores for customers to compare different products that are in store without having to search the store itself.
