Animal Cruelty and Captivity Animal cruelty has been an issue for many years. Some people think it is discipline to harm animals. Other peoper try everything they can to stop animal cruelty and captivity. This will always be an on going problem. I am strongly against animal cruelty and the captivity of animals. For example, in Denmark, a 9-month-old lion was killed and dissected in front of a crowd. The only reason this lion was killed is because they counldn’t find a home for the lion. I think that is so wrong. Another incident was also in Denmark. A 2-year-old giraffe was killed because they didn’t want inbreeding. The worst part of the killing was, they dissected marius, the giraffe, and fed him to the lions. These are just a few reasons
Another way to prevent animal cruelty is avoiding any animal products . You can become a vegetarian and not eat animals . They are killing animals to feed you when there is other foods to eat eat without having to harm any animal . Also , many animals are in danger of extinction due to us harming them , which is really sad . Zoo isn’t a good place where animals should be . They don’t deserve to be locked up for people entertainment . There’s many animals that belong in the wild . For example , it’s just like a baby learning how to crawl put in there crib all day no it’s not right . They need to be in a bigger place to learn . That may also lead them to many illnesses
Is keeping animals in captivity having a negative effect on them? Are animals at risk from being held in zoos? Animals have been held in captivity for hundreds of years, but in recent times people have been agreeing with the idea. Although not all animals are kept in good conditions, animals should be allowed to be held in captivity, some animals are safer in captivity, some animals are injured or unable to live in the wild, and it allows researchers to gain knowledge on animals that are not common in the wild.
Animal cruelty is the worst thing to ever happen to animals. They do not deserve to be treated any type of way, they are just like humans. Thousands of animals are being abused every single day if you ever even thought about it. Why not care about them and not treat them right, they deserve to be treated right. There are animals that are treated differently, for instance home animals, shelter animals and homeless animals. Those three has things that are similar and opposite from each other. As of today we need to find way in order for all the cruelty to stop, because people do not want to be treated as the way animals are treated. For example of our saying “treat others the way you want to be treated and everything would go great”.
Man-made environments or animals are not right and unsuitable for their living. These animals are subjected to an unnatural environment. This causes confusion which then leads to hostility potentially sending an animal to its death when they try to rebel. Then they are mistreated for scientific purposes or beaten to fulfill a purpose. All these horrific things can happen to an animal that is forcibly taken from its home and sent into man-made environments.
Cruelty to animals can either be the unintentional and the intentional infliction by humans of suffering or harm upon any non-human animal, regardless of whether the act is against the law. So much has happened recently that the US has broken it down into four categories, simple or gross neglect; intentional abuse and torture; organized abuse, including dogfighting and cockfighting; and animal sexual abuse (Fricker). The very first group of people in U.S. history to give laws for animal cruelty was the Puritans of Massachusetts Bay Colony. Throughout the years North Carolina and several other U.S. states have increased of passed more laws on animal cruelty and abuse. Defining animal abuse and cruelty can be broken down into six different
Animal cruelty can be either deliberate abuse or simply the failure to take care of an animal. Animal Abuse is growing problem in the world; many animals are abused my people, simply just to make a profit. In certain situations, some people can’t afford to keep up with the maintenance and responsibility of taking care of the animal. What many people fail to realize is , even though animals aren’t people, they’re living and breathing organisms, just like humans. Animals have feelings, but some people don’t think nor care about that. Animal cruelty can be either deliberate abuse or simply the failure to take care of an animal.
Animal abuse is a very well-known issue that occurs today. Animal rights has turned into something millions of people are an advocate for and is even a common topic. This is because so many conflicts exist that promote the mistreatment of animals. Things such as using animal fur, eating meat, hunting for sport, animal experimentation, and many more. Many believe that animals do not deserve this treatment, because they are living creatures just like humans. many others will have opposing opinions, such as animals were put on this earth for us to able to use however we want. Everyone’s different opinion forms the core of animal rights issues, but agencies such as PETA continue to fight for the rights of animals to be treated more humanely. In their eyes, animals should have basic morals and legal rights, especially those. these
There is so much animal abuse/cruelty happening in the world today. There are so many types of abuse. For example, one type of abuse is neglect. Neglect is not taking care of a pet, like not feeding them or giving them water. Another type of abuse is physical abuse. Physical abuse is when someone hitting them, physically hurting them."
Cruelty to animals, also called animal abuse is the first form of violence still being tolerated by humans, and its only propose is to induct harm for reason other than survival or self defense. Most commonly animal cruelty is about one human who induct harm or suffering to animals for personal amusement, also called zoosadism. In my opinion is nothing wrong in using animals for human propose such as food, clothing, or research as long as it is done in a way that minimize pain, commonly referred as a human treatment. Positions against animal cruelty are different, and the debate on methods and solutions is popular, but the only way to ensure protections for animals is educating people in ending animal’s status as
Imagine families going to a zoo, children are amazed by the different kinds of animals and learning many things about each animal. The children are having a blast and the parents are glad to see the smiles on their faces and seeing animals that could be seen at any time without it being a once in a lifetime experience especially for the rare and exotic animals. Unfortunately, the same feeling couldn’t be said for the animals. These animals are trapped in displays and couldn’t experience the wild like they used to or never experience it at all. Over time, they experience defects that made them depressed or aggressive. Animal Captivity has been a heated debate for years and still continues to this day. Zoos have downside with the effects on the animals and why resorts would be the best option for animals.
Animal abuse is an issue people hardly look at. People are not being informed enough to the abuse of these animals. Not just dogs and cats are being abused, wild-life such as zoo animals and show animals like in circuses. Animal cruelty is a problem that’s rapidly growing, animals around the world are being starved, beaten, or just left to die. There are many different types of animal cruelty, the more common ones are mistreatment, abandonment, and scientific research. Animals who are in zoos and circuses are forced to live in small cages or captivities, some of these wide-range animals don’t have the space they need for what they are built for, like running freely and to just be able to roam, hunt etc;. These animals goes through pain and suffer everyday, it’s time we put these abuse to stop.
In Southern China, “Pizza” who is also know as “the world’s saddest polar bear”, spends his life confined to a small display in a shopping mall. Every day he paces past the drawing of icebergs, sits below the artificial lights and spends his days by an air vent to sniff the outside world. This poor bear spends his entire life confined just for the mere entertainment of thousands of people. The fact that defenseless animals are nearly tortured for entertainment and profit is shameful and they must be freed. The space provided does not allow an animal to live freely causing detramental affects to their lives. it is our job to care for these animals becasue they cannot for themselves.
“I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter… the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal. And I was angry. “God,” I said, “this is terrible! Why don’t you do something?” God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly, I have done something,” He replied. “
Human curiosity of functions of the body have been continuously quenched by experimenting and testing on animals. According to Professor Nuno Henrique Franco from the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology of the University of Porto in Rua do Campo Alegre, humans have based their medical research, and later chemical testing, on animal experimentation. The first experiments that were performed can be considered crude and a few were perhaps excessively damaging to their subjects, and a handful of later testing was for cosmetic purposes. Consequently, the lives of countless animals have been lost and, unfortunately, many experienced pain during experiments. These experiments received much criticism from people who enjoy the accompany of animals. The public demanded a closer examination on the treatment of animals, and the relatively recent cases of animal cruelty brought to the attention of the media, thanks to animal rights groups like PETA, only further fueled the cause. Many still view the experiments as a type of exploitation and a common belief is that the performed experiments are always incredibly cruel and brutal. While it rings true that the many experiments that were done in the early days brought unnecessarily pain to the animals and the number of animals used were too large, animal experimentation has evolved and the many laws and regulations were implanted in an attempt to control the experiments justify them. Mainly, the Animal Welfare Act of 1961 took effect and
Animal testing is a cruel way of the past, now a days there are far better ways to conduct research providing far more accurate results. By raising awareness on the act of animal testing we can ultimately put a stop to the cruel treatment of animals. There is an alternate way to find safe products for human usage without testing on animals first. All around the world different species are used for research testing; dogs cats mice and other primates are the most common animals used. Animal testing has not been proven to be the most accurate by raising the awareness hopefully people will be more cautious to the products they buy thus limiting animal tested on.
