Animal Testing Should Be Banned

For many years there has been a debate whether animal testing should be banned or continued. Many scientists believe that a human’s life is superior to an animal’s life. Others, like me, believe that animal testing is good for medicine use and not cosmetics. In my prospective, as well as many others will agree, beauty is far less important than a living creature. For centuries now, animal testing has helped scientist develop new cures for diseases, health conditions and even the development of new technology. Animal testing has been beneficially for human beings. Believe it or not, you or someone you know might have used some medications that have been previously tested on animals.
Like every decision you make in life it has its pro’s or con’s, therefore, so does animal testing. Animal testing isn’t just beneficially for us. It is also beneficial to them as well. If it wasn’t for vaccines being tested on animals, there wouldn’t be 1000’s of animals saved from rabies, distemper, feline leukemia, and infectious hepatitis virus tetanus, anthrax and canine parvo virus. Animal testing’s have found treatments for animals, some examples are; pace markers for heart disease and remedies for glaucoma and hip dysplasia. Because of animal testing, in both medicine and technology, a breakthrough has occurred that has greatly improved the world of medicine and science.
