One other amazing example is The Diary of Anne Frank. This girl gets a lot of help from her family and friends. Her dad brings her glue, scissors and pictures to make their hiding place brighter. He also keeps her hidden as long as he can. Anne’s friends keep her bike hidden so the Germans would not take it away. She gets a tremendous amount of help from her family and friends. Still, some people say that it doesn’t matter because she ended up dying in the end. Even though she died she lived to have her family keep her safe and help her survive for quite a while.
One of the most common ways people overcome conflict is family and friends. All three of these books are great examples of how people use family and friends to help them get through conflict. When conflict comes around to you I suggest you take these examples and stick with your friends and especially your
Whether we like it or not, conflict is a part of everyday lives. It can happen to anyone, from your friends to your family.
The major theme of the book is shown through the bonds of friendship and how in the most of unlikely circumstances friendship can survive and exist between people possessing an extensive and most restrictive division. A second theme is the evil and the intolerance which existed around these times of the Nazi regime and the Holocaust, as seen by the Germans having the Jews in the concentration camp. And the third theme is the curiosity and innocence of Bruno, Shmuel and
Their opinions are brought forward whilst there is a march in their hometown and the two characters feed the marchers. Whilst this is only a small action, they managed to change the course of the storyline and the consequences of their actions really did bring the context of war upfront and it allowed the reader to understand what happened to some of the German people that tried to help the Jews and the others that were tortured along with them. The most serious effect that the war had on the characters of The Book Thief, Liesel especially, was at the end of the novel was when a bomb was dropped on her home town. As a result of this everyone that was special to Liesel was killed, including Rudy. Children in war are not aware of what is happening around them, especially in Bruno’s case, he only knows what he has seen. For example when Shmuel tells him that there are a lot of children on his side of the fence he thinks that it will be like in Berlin where children are happy and playful and have liberty, but when Bruno crosses the fence and experiences what Shmuel does every day he is very surprised and in a way disappointed to see that the children here and all lethargic and gloomy, this may affect a child very harshly in the long run seeing such a place on the inside, such as Auschwitz. In the story we see that Bruno can not comprehend what is happening when he and Shmuel are taken into the gas chamber and they think that it
Conflict is inevitable in any personal relationship or among members of any group. While we encounter many types of conflict in our lifetime, we often look for ways to avoid conflict. So, why do we run away from dealing with our conflict? It is often because many of us fear the conflict will escalate into a situation we will not be able to sustain. “As conflicts escalate, they go through certain incremental transformations. Although these transformations occur separately on each side, they affect the conflict as a whole because they are usually mirrored by the other side. As a result of these transformations, the conflict is intensified in ways that are sometimes exceedingly difficult to undo” (Pruitt, and Kim 89). We

The story is a documentary but in a cartoon, comic type of way and is like an adventure that makes you just reflect about your life and back then. LIfe was a struggle to survive during the war if you were a Jew for they would hunt you down. Also it just reflects on feeling of how you would feel if you lost your family and all you had, even if you were rich and wealthy you would be treated like less than a human. The book leaves you thinking on many concepts and it's true how could a human be treated as less just because of your religion.
The Diary of Anne Frank, by frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, is about a young girl named
Anne Frank 's life has impacted the lives of others because, her family background, Anne 's time in hiding, and what she expressed in her diary. Without Anne we would never know what life was like in the holocaust, from a personal standpoint. It came from the pages of a diary belonging to a young Jewish girl, Anne Frank. The Diary of Anne Frank has been read by hundreds of millions of people around the world since the end of World War II.
One approach to respond to conflict is shown in the thoughts and actions of Anne Frank. In the story, Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne’s solution to make the better of her situation was demonstrated. For instance, her diary entry, dated Saturday, July 11, 1942, describing her living space at the Secret Annex, noticed, “Up to now our bedroom, with its blank walls, was very bare [...] I was able to plaster the wall with pictures. It looks much more cheerful” (Frank 19). This represents a particular action in which Anne made to
Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl who was forced into hiding during the second world war to escape the Nazis. On her 13th birthday, when she received an autograph book from her father, she vividly records her experiences through a life lived in the shadows of Nazi genocide.
Friendship is a basic human need, especially for nine year old boys living their childhood. For Bruno who is lonely, bored out of his mind and could not find friends his age to play with and Shmuel a Jewish boy entrapped in a brutal concentration camp, their friendship is one of the only things that can spark a little happiness and lighten up their spirit. The boys meet in the least possible place – the periphery of Auschwitz concentration camp, where one is imprisoned and the other is the son of the Nazi commandant in charge. Although they are meant to see each other as enemies as a Jew and Nazi, there is no hatred between Bruno and Shmuel. They simply see each other as another kid to talk to out of the loneliness of Auschwitz. As the book
The play version of The Diary of Anne Frank tells the story of one girl who lives in an Annex during the Holocaust along with many other people, including family, friends, and even a dentist. In this play, Anne tries to survive the Holocaust hiding in the Annex of their father’s store, while places all around them get searched for the Jewish Population. Of course, there were many other Jews telling the story of the Holocaust from their perspectives. One of the most popular ones is the book Night, written by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. The book Night was based around the life before and during the Holocaust. It talks about the peaceful life they had before, the beginning of the invasion, the separation in concentration camps, and a death march that would of killed anyone. Although Elie Wiesel and Anne Frank provide different settings, as well as how the fathers feel, both authors provide information about the importance of a father-child relationship, and how the fathers are important figures to them. It shows what the Holocaust looks like in two very differing perspectives, including a peaceful-for-the-most-part Annex and the concentration camps of Buna, Auschwitz, and many more.
This book is about the Holocaust, I don't have many connections to this novel, but I have read about this terrible topic before and it is heartbreaking. As i read this novel i felt as if i could connect to Bruno and Shmuel. I do enjoy reading novels about the Holocaust because i think they are interesting.
The main characters in this story have different personalities and they represent the good and the bad in human beings. Bruno, the nine years old German boy, was an adventurous, curious and innocent boy like many other kids his age. Because of his age sometimes he was a little naive but overall I think he was a very smart boy. He showed us the importance of friendship and compassion after he met Shmuel at the concentration camp.
