Introduction
A recent human resources management incident occurred while serving in my current role as the Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer (AAMO) of Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 29 (MALS 29). This problematic situation was the alleged violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act; specifically an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint for prejudice based on race. This specific incident occurred when a recently joined military subordinate member felt that his immediate leadership was being overly critical and watchful of every move that he made. Specifically, the Marine believed that not all members of his work center peer group received this level of treatment and determined that it must be due to his racial background.

It also affects our dealers and distributers as well. Other companies may be eyed for replacement of like products by our customers, costing us millions in revenue. Excellent, high quality patient care is much more than a saying used in many healthcare organizations. Translating these words into actions by every employee can be a daunting task. A culture of excellence must be initiated, and instilled into the core of a healthcare organization. Mission statements, visions, short term goals, and long term goals are useful objectives that facilitate a culture of excellence. As healthcare continues to evolve and increase in complexity each day, continuous reflection regarding organizational outcomes and patient outcomes should be performed.
Human Resource Management (HRM) are activities managers perform to plan for attracting, develop, and retain a productive workforce (Kinicki & Williams, 2016). The role of human resource management is to prepare, develop, and administer policies and program designed to make expeditious use of an organization human resources. Part of control which is concerned with the people at work and with their relationship within an enterprise. HRM have their hands full; they have to face employees daily with a complaint, write-ups and sadly terminating of the worker. All areas of HRM such as, staffing, orientation, training, development, pay wages benefits are all significant parts that are dealt with daily. Human resource management presents itself as

According to (Armstrong, 2009, p.994). Health and Safety Acts is the Act that cover how the organization intends to provide health and safe place and systems of work. Therefore, to maintain a health and safety environment at my workplace and for people who are under my management: employee, service users and visitors, I ensure that I carry out risk assessment before and after any task, ensuring that everyone at work place are safe. I identify and minimize the risk of hazards and accident e.g. I remove the obstacles, I ensure the environment is clean and clear, Ensure the materials and equipments are kept in a safe place etc.
The Managing Human Resources class has been a great experience for me. My perception of HR has changed since we started the class. In the beginning of class, I thought all HR departments were the same as the only one I’ve ever experienced throughout my career; which happens to be with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA). I now understand HR can be much more and TWRA’s HR is not providing many of the services it could be. Unfortunately, TWRA’s HR is only delivering functional expertise, rather than strategic performance. I now understand there is a problem when HR departments are only providing functional expertise (Becker and Huselid 2009).

As a renowned human resource specialist, I offer subject matter expertise on specific tactics that will restore confidence within the public in its entirety the prevention of another mishap, such as the Veterans Affairs scandal. To recap the issue at hand, it has been discovered that some VA hospitals and clinics across the United States “that a culture of retaliation exists within the Department of Veteran Affairs, which discourages employees from airing concerns about patient care (i.e. poor care, long wait time which possibly led to some deaths of these patients), and discredit them when they came forward-falsified records became public” . It is palpable that the Department of Veteran Affairs or any government agency that is experiencing similar irrationalities is in need of revamping the essentiality of human resource management. Before I reveal my suggestions in promising the public restoration of human resource management, I will like to reiterate the significance of the subject matter.
Workplace safety is an important factor. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA), states employers have a responsibility to provide a safe working environment
After my experience in the Human Resources Management class, I came to understand that a company’s best way to compete in the market is through the people that make up the company. Knowing how to use the employee’s skills and knowledge to benefit the company is crucial when competing. Being aware of who is working in the company is only one of the steps needed to succeed. A company is the collection of people with different skills and talents who come together to produce a finished product. From the intern who may runs errands to the CEO of the company, everyone plays an important role in the success of the company. How is it that a company ensures that the people are retained and motivated to work? It is through the human resources department! Although some may think that the human resource personnel are only there to listen to the employees’ problems, HR is much more than this. To further explore the world of the human resources apartment, I conducted an interview with Lori Whol who is part of the personnel of the human resources department at Devon Energy.
