Becoming a Western Ambassador would be immensely beneficial to me in various ways. For example, it would be a spectacular way to progress through college and after with less debt than the average college attendees, helping me further myself in life faster. However, money is a significant issue these days in anything you do. The scholarships and other aid that being in this program offer would help me do that. Currently, I am an Ambassador at Great Plains Technology Center in Frederick, Oklahoma. This position has taught me leadership skills, social skills, and public speaking. In conclusion, being an Ambassador at Western would contribute to improving those skills and bestow me with opportunities that might not have been presented to me
It is a great pleasure to recommend Mr. Marlin J. Cook for the Morehouse College Presidential Ambassador Program. Mr. Cook is currently my Elementary Spanish II student, and last semester, he completed successfully Elementary Spanish I.
I would be an asset to the Lamar University Ambassador Program for three main reasons: I am good in social situations, I know how to positively and enticingly portray things, and I am hardworking and dedicated. Throughout high school and as president of the National Honors Society I had to attend different events to represent our school. Since my high school was a school of choice we visited middle schools and presented on why students would want to attend Eastwood. I was one of the students elected to speak on behalf of the school and in many ways worked as an ambassador for the school. Also, as president of NHS I

I love John Carroll and Saint John’s Jesuit, my college and high school respectively. However, my most passionate area in my life is helping friends younger than I through their college application process.
Iowa State University prides itself on its mission to “Create, share, and apply knowledge to make Iowa and the world a better place” (Iowa State University Office of the President: Mission and Vision). This mission focuses on the success of each and every student that attends Iowa State. In order for Iowa State’s Study Abroad program to follow the foundational mission of the entire university, it had to create a mission that also focused on the students. The mission they have formed and stand today consists of: putting emphasis on developing strong international adventures. In order for students to go out to other countries to receive a quality education, the Study Abroad program must create a strong base on which they are able to form equal quality education as Iowa State provides no matter where a student goes. To promote opportunities that are inclusive and affordable for all students. To prepare students and directors for success when studying abroad. To advance standards of safety and uphold
When I was exploring medical schools in 2014, I decided to attend discover MUSM day. That day, I was able to experience the culture of the campus and interact with Mercer students that went above and beyond to answer all of questions about Mercer and medicine in general. I believe that my experience that day truly impacted my decision on making Mercer my home. A decision I do not regret. Although the study of medicine is difficult, I am thankful for Mercer and the growth I have achieved during my time here. I am thankful for the faculty that are readily available and go the extra mile to help me understand the science behind medicine.
I have always wanted to travel during college to study, volunteer, or both, and the study abroad programs and scholarships pertaining to the Honors LLC will allow me to achieve these dreams. I believe traveling to new places is an unparalleled method of learning, as traveling exposes you to ideas, customs, and mannerisms that no textbook can ever teach. In today’s global society, being aware of other cultures is crucial from a personal, business, and societal standpoint.
I am interested in participating in the Bridge Scholars program because I will gain experience, as I want be to prepare me for the fall semester by taking these college level classes. Also, this program will provide me with financial aid because I have not been able to work due to my current education and extracurricular activities. I will gain long lasting friendships and will be able to grow and learn from myself with all the activities we will do. As I am a intervent person this will be an immense opportunity to open up and interact with the other scholars. This is an amazing opportunity because not only will I have the chance to receive college credit, but will have an experience that I will have no place other, making friends, preparation
I was born in a developed country and educated in a secure area, I have been lucky. The majority of people take this for granted. Appreciation of what I have been raised with has given me the desire to pursue studies in the international field. One of the many objectives I hope to reach through this approach is to discover the way others are living, understand what they are going through but also to find a durable way of helping them. Being of mixed origins: French, English and Irish but also factors such as having a family scattered around the globe have enabled me to travel to various parts of the world regularly.
Applying for colleges had me a timid and afraid. I was between IU and Butler for my final decision, which viewed from afar are active campuses in the initiative of change. I am interested in the Ambassadors of Change program because; change is needed in this era and because change is affective.
To be an international liberal is to believe that the world works better with norms and values to tie the international system together. International liberals also state that institutions and humans are inclined to govern themselves how they may choose. Finally, that these same institutions should be inclined towards peace, not to secure their own power at the expense of others. With that being said, the Athenians, in this case, are realists trying to maximize their power and territory by trying to take over and control the Melians, with no thought of morality involved. The Melians pose several arguments to this action, depicting them as international liberals. The first being that since the Melians are a neutral city and not an enemy to the
I feel studying abroad will enhance my energy for academic goals and will strengthen my interest in learning. Also, my lifelong goal has been to start my own trading firm and globalization is a huge part of trading. I need to know the ins and outs of the foreign markets and studying abroad will increase my knowledge of how foreign countries do things. These days business is all about globalization and I wont be successful in globalization if I don’t get to see the world through with my own eyes.
Working with other agencies and countries, the United States responds to world health problems and monitors the spread of potentially dangerous diseases. U.S. diplomats work with other nations and through multilateral institutions to help improve the lives of people everywhere (“How does the US department of State engage with other Countries?”). The United States reaches out to other countries as well, even if they cannot let a certain number of immigrants into the country. Providing particular countries with helpful organizations from the United States, is an influential way to start preventing illegal immigration. If the United States flourish well there should not be an excuse to not help provide for people around the world. It does not mean illegal immigrants have to come to our country. Helpful organizations demonstrate that America does care about violence around the world and is making an effort to prevent violence, poverty, and hunger in other countries. You may ask the question, “What if they need to provide for their family?” This is a controversial topic throughout the world. A solution would be for them to apply for a visa right when they are eligible. The longer they wait, the longer they could be struggling. Some women in foreign countries have children at an early age and are stuck in a situation they cannot handle. These countries should be more informed about how this can affect their future at such a young age. If these women know they will not be able to
Opportunity to travel abroad: traveling to another country enables you to get a complete picture of the culture, it also helps to enhance your interpersonal skills as well as your communication skills and it enables you to appreciate new customs. (San Diego State University, n.d.)
Firstly, studying international relations gives a lot of opportunities for travelling to both students and those who are working in a job which is related to international relations. For instance, the students can go abroad for educational purposes with different international student programs. One of these programs is Erasmus. Erasmus is an international program which enables students to study abroad for six months or one year. Those students who went abroad with Erasmus can reinforce their CV, speak English fluently, or even learn a new foreign language. Thus, if it is considered that international relations students have to learn new languages as many as they can, Erasmus might be a good choice for these students who study international relations. In addition to Erasmus, there is another organization, especially for the international relations students, which is called Model United Nations (MUN). MUN is a simulation of United Nations. This organization gives chance to go abroad for university students. MUN also motivates students to learn for the reason that while the students are preparing to represent a country, these students, who attend MUN meetings, have to learn a lot of information about the country which they chose to represent. The graduates who are working as a diplomat or following an academic
