Best Man Wedding Speech
Good Evening everybody...I hope you are all enjoying everything so far...My name is Frank Levy, and I am Rick's Best Man for the evening.
I happened to find out that there was a pool going on as to how long my Best Man's speech was going to be, and I was the only one who bought in at 60 minutes, so you might as well all just relax, sit back and enjoy the ride.
When Rick first asked me to be a "Best Man", I wasn't really sure what my responsibilities were suppossed to be. I asked around, and was told that my main duties for today were:
To ensure that the groom arrives on time,
To make sure he is sober,
And to make sure he is looking good.
Well 2 out of 3 isn?t bad... After all I?m best man, not a

I first met Rick many years ago when he came to work with me. I remember one of my first impressions of Rick was someone that tried to dress good...
He seemed to have a sense for fashion...and not being a very fashionable guy myself, I started to copy him in the sort of things he used to wear -- until my mother got mad at me for taking clothes from her wardrobe...
But when it came to finding a wife, I don't think Rick could've been luckier. Marty is a fantastic person and, as I'm sure you will all agree, looks absolutely stunning tonite...
My first impression of Marty was that she was a beautiful, witty, charming, clever, friendly and a thoughtful person... And it just goes to prove that old saying that opposites really do attract...
I do want to Thank Rick & Marty for allowing me to be involved in their Wedding Day, and in their wedding party...It is an honour and a priviledge to be a part of this special day with them...
Marriage in this day and age is far from easy. With all the external pressures of day-to-day life, you need to grow together in mutual trust and understanding, while not forgetting what first brought you together. In other words, may your love be modern enough to survive the times, yet old-fashioned enough to last forever
There is an old saying -- ?you don?t marry someone because you can live with them, you marry them
Having two people in love and getting married can change a lot about both lives. Lifestyles will change and adapting to each other will be one of the major goals. Not being able to adapt to each other will cause stress and great pain to each other. The key to marriage is being able to withstand each other and having patience for each other. Marriage in the twenty-first century today lacks the skills of withstanding each other and patience, especially couples who get married at an early age. A perfect marriage is to marry a person who loves you for who you are and what you are, not for you to be different or to change. “The best life partner might, I think, be the one who sees you as you are and loves that person-the person who is boring and anxious or blotchy from a weekly scrub mask-not the imaginary one who is poetic and broodingly smart and sexy and ecstatic all the time” (Miller 64). This statement wrote by Catherine Newman clearly shows that a couple getting married should pick that right partner that choose you because of you and nothing different. If you choose a partner to be different or act different and not for what he/she truly is, you will guaranteed to have a hard and stressful marriage. Both of you will have trouble understanding each other and it will cause you to have therapy. Marriage therapy is very common today and one the reason of them is not loving your partner for who he/she really is. Marrying somebody can be easy, but finding the right somebody is hard. It may take more than one try to find that right
Rick is the morally ambiguous night club owner, who hides a sentimentality behind a neutral facade.
According to Jim Piper, “Films aren’t just about people; they are also about the relationships people make…Often, in fact, a relationship is the movie” (159). It is Rick’s relationships that make this movie.
By all accounts we are lucky that the groom is here today. I have it on good authority that when he
When I look at the bride and groom, I feel such a kaleidoscope of emotions. I know that Kari has found her true match and I know that theirs will be a marriage of long standing. My heart is bursting with love for you two today. I know you have a wonderful adventure ahead of you, and with God?s blessing your marriage will last for decades to come.
Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen - I am the groom's father, Ken, and I have the great privilege of being best man. I have recently found out there are two reasons why J W asked me to do this job. 1) To make him look younger and slimmer in the photos. 2) Because he didn't want to burden any of his friends with the terrible prospect of having to give this speech.
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of the bridesmaids, I must thank Donald for his kind words. I must also thank all of you for coming today - I know how hard it is to get a day release.
First I?d like to thank GROOMS NAME for those kind words ? some sort of response is probably in order
Before Rick was sent to juvinile detention all he cared about was being the best rugby player and winning a championship. He quickly changed after he realized its more important to help others and surround yourself with people who want you to succeed. When people watch this they will realize that they should help others especially if they are willing to help you in return. If everybody learned this than more people would succeed and we would form friendships that will last the rest of our
Rick and the governor are both natural-born leaders. Their decisiveness, focus, and confidence are all part of what attracts their followers to them. Pre-apocalypse, Rick was a police officer in his home town and showed enough initiative and dedication to get elected as the Sheriff. He faced many illogical decisions daily that caused him to think quickly. The Governor worked in an office, which instilled organization skills into his work and moral ethics. This gained him the confidence to make well thought out strategies for defeating other groups and taking their supplies. These
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen – for those of you who don’t know me I’m Floyd, Edward’s best man. Of course, the only problem with being the best man at a wedding is that you never get a chance to prove it, but if anyone wants to start a drinking competition later, then come talk to me.
Both Rick Grimes and his actions are moral and unselfish. Rather than being self-centered, Rick puts his life on the line to protect the group and his family with the best of his ability. The well-intentioned actions and selfless motives of Rick is evident in these three examples. In the early events of
The answer is not very. The creators of the show intentionally portrayed Rick’s alcoholism as inconsequential because in the grand scale of the universe, the issues of one man, or any collection of people, seems relatively insignificant. The depiction of alcoholism is unethical, but the show’s purpose is to blur the harsh lines between right and wrong into more of a grey area. A contrived moral code is unimportant when looking at the universe as a whole. Rick’s perspective of the universe is best summed up in his signature catchphrase, “Wubba lubba dub dub”, which from Birdperson language translates into, “I am in great pain, please help me”. He bears the liberating weight of a cold and indifferent universe, and resorts to a simple solution that he tells Morty after burying their bodies: “Don’t think about
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of the bridesmaids, I would like to thank Scott for his kind words. For once in my life, I find myself agreeing with him - they look stunning and did an excellent job today.
