Why we should not have Black Friday on Thanksgiving written by Noah M Smyle
Even though you can get with your family and be thankful and then go shopping until your legs hurt it can go either way. We should not have Black Friday on thanksgiving because Thanksgiving is for sharing and being thankful and if everybody goes shopping what's the point of even having Thanksgiving then and you should be with your family during all of Thanksgiving not only half of it. What's the point of having thanksgiving if you're just gonna rush through the meal and then go shopping and pushing through long crowds just to get a fifty dollar t.v, there's no point in it, Thanksgiving is for having a nice meal with your family and sharing what you're thankful for and having a nice time.

If stores are open on Thanksgiving the workers will not get to be with their family and have a good meal, instead they will have to deal with rampages and break fights up which sucks in my perspective.
Facts: did you know a Black Friday worker died because he got trampled, Thanksgiving was the last time his family saw him alive A Lot of people get trampled each year and suffer severe injuries and that's not good because Thanksgiving is to be grateful and happy for what you have
Facts: A Lot of stores sell the cheap off brand and cheap materials for cheap on Black Friday In conclusion Black Friday should not be open on Thanksgiving because Thanksgiving is supposed to be spent with family and friends and to be thankful for everything that you have and it should not be spent getting trampled and hurt trying to get a cheap t.v. Thank You For Reading My
Black Friday is the following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Black Friday is not an official holiday, but many workers have the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday, this increases the number of potential shoppers. Retailers often decorate for the Christmas and holiday season weeks beforehand. Many retailers open extremely early, with most of the retailers typically opening at 5 A.M. or even earlier. Retailers use Black Friday to kick off the holiday season to use much of their products to go from the red to the black.
I think that stores should not be open on thanksgiving because one it will take time away from thanksgiving and spending time with your famille. And two some people are opening loans just to go shopping on thanksgiving and they are going into debt just to go shopping even though people could go shopping after their dinner or spending time with their families., they should not be open on thanksgiving because people are making loans to go shopping and people have died shopping.
Around the holidays, the department stores steps up is discount game even more. The Kohl’s Black Friday sale is actually a shopping extravaganza that begins before Thanksgiving and lasts after the Biggest Shopping Day of the Year.
When the great holiday of Thanksgiving comes to mind, most people think of becoming total gluttons and gorging themselves with a seemingly unending amount of food. Others might think of the time spent with family and friends. The whole basis of the holiday is family togetherness, fellowship, and thankfulness for blessings received during the previous year.
In addition, within the stores there are so many areas sections off with lines for their own for specific items such as laptops, Ipads, and other expensive items that are very limited in the quantity a store even receives. The insanity of the consumers showing up hours before the store even opens or sales even began made me step back and wonder if it is really worth the few bucks of savings. I have seen consumers rushing to be the first in line and closest to the pallets and racks of the items still covered up. It is crazy people actually start taking the boxes apart to look what inside while waiting for the sale time to start. I do not recommend bringing your kids to shop, because consumers can be rude and very pushy. Also, some stores even announce specials that are only advertised in the store during the Black Friday sale times. All these things seem to just send consumers into and even bigger frenzy.
Black Friday is a day when people shop. Thanksgiving is a day for being with family. I believe that these two shouldn’t mix. Some people say that they would lose customers to other stores. In reality, many stores don’t open on Thanksgiving, so you would not be losing anything to them. Also, workers need family time.
It is called Black Friday because it is the shopping day after Thanksgiving. So many people went shopping that there was so many traffic accidents. It was first recorded in 1966 by Earl Apfelbaum. In his ad, he said, "'Philadelphia police department call it Black Friday because it is the Friday after thanksgiving. On Black Friday the stores are always mobbed from open to close. Black Friday crowds get in to violence over who gets what. On 2012 there was a hunting sale the cops had to shoot a shop lifter who dragged a cop into the vehicle.
James tells us this happens first and foremost because we are sinners and our desires entice us which then leads to sin (James 1:15). This explains why people act ridiculously. I doubt anyone reading this ever acts crazy like those on Black Friday, right (Kidding!)? Remember, Jesus died for your sins. You are forgiven. Because of the work of Jesus, you are not condemned (Romans 8:1)! Even if you do not rise up early on Black Friday, please pray for those who participated in Black Friday and for those whose desires got the best of them during this time.

Kitchenware, toys. In addition, any discount in stores will be available online as well. The “10 Days of Deals” do not stop there; Target will offer amazing sales and opportunity before and after Black Friday. Target wants to prepare his customers to know what items they will want by listing the items and their price. A new rule will take place for the first time. In fact, Target will offer a 20% discount for futures purchase if on Friday, November 27 the customer spends at least $75. Furthermore, Target said that the discount during the sale would be the best prices discount they have done. This new information will benefit Target revenue for the end of the year. As every company November and December are the most important months of the year. Target is trying to make customers to
However, Target deals aren’t confined to just Black Friday. Since 2010, the retailer has been releasing early sneaks peeks of their Black Friday deals. Then, in 2013, Target began promoting online-only deals in the days leading up to Thanksgiving Day. Additionally, Target offers impressive pre-Black Friday deals and Cyber Week deals to help customers make the most of their shopping.
Thanksgiving was meant to be a feast at which we are grateful for what we have. The dinner that has been a tradition to bring not only families, but people together has been tainted. I love my job and I love shopping, but it is heartbreaking to see how people treat each other on this day of thanks. The shoving in lines and the fighting over material possessions is something we learn not to do as children. After working on "Black Friday" for the last few years I can tell you that most people are not thankful for what they have. That scarf you were going to buy your grandma is not worth hurting someone mentally of physically. Most shoppers are also buying for themselves which means that they would be willing to trample over someone just
The biggest shopping day of the year is known as “Black Friday”. This is when loads of people all around the country gather around to shop store sales everywhere before Christmas time settles in. “Stores began to use the term in the 1970s because the day after Thanksgiving marked the start of the profitable holiday shopping season…” (Zillman). According to Amanda Nicholson this term may go back even earlier into the 1960s. Black Friday was how police officers described the day after Thanksgiving because residents from the city and near suburbs marched the stores of Philadelphia in search of gifts for the holidays (Zillman). The sale has since then tragically morphed from the early first development, changing ever-so drastically. Every year stores open earlier practically flipping the bird to Thanksgiving in a way that is detrimental to history. Black Friday should be held only on its original specified date of the Friday after Thanksgiving so that it does not interfere in any way with the holiday gatherings because it takes employees away from their families and friends diminishing the value of Thanksgiving as a whole.
The retailer was open 8:00am to 6:00pm on Thanksgiving Day and 5:00am to close on Black Friday. Shoppers were interested in getting the best doorbusters were advised to visit the stores for the six-hour sale from 5:00am to 11:00am on Black Friday.
People may get caught up in the excitement of the day, and that can help them to spend even more money. While waiting in line, customers at the front of the line seem to be excited and happy. However, at the end of the line, customers appear to be more frustrated and anxious. Some consumers plan their Black Friday shopping trips weeks in advance. There are many websites available for people to view Black Friday advertisements online, before they are supposed to be released to the public. Walmart has tried year after year for the advertisements not to be leaked, but they usually end up on these websites before they are supposed to (4 Years Strong: Walmart Sends Another Cease & Desist, 2011). Stores may not want to have their advertisements released early for a couple of reasons. First, consumers having the ability to research products and having too much time to explore all of their options may mean that consumers will not make as many spontaneous purchases on Black Friday. They also do not want to have their competition see their deals, and then have them beat their prices. Having the advertisements earlier though means consumers are able to plan what stores they want to go to, which may lead to less chaos on the actual day. People are motivated by saving money on Black Friday. Some consumers may even see it as a competition. For some, because there is only a limited selection available for many of the items that are
The day after thanksgiving is a very significant holiday for retail stores to sell their products being it is the biggest shopping day in the entire year. This one day provides discounts along with many clearance items to shoppers and usually about the time Christmas holiday decorations start going up. Chains of brand franchise stores try their hardest to out-do other competing brands during this season in this time of year in places like big cities of New York or Miami. In the summer time children are out of school and day cares or camps for children are most likely to receive their business so parents are able to tend to their work schedules to support the family.
