To most consumers BMW is simply, a vehicle manufacturer. Is this company another faceless corporation whose only priority is to make its millions? Or have BMW spent the ninety years of their existence building a solid reputation based on quality? This dissertation will aim to investigate these questions by exploring the different and maybe in some cases, unknown elements of BMW. In this report, I am going to evaluate the influence of different stakeholders exert at Mercedes Benz. The stakeholders I will be discussing is the owner of the business, customers who buy cars as they provide good quality of service, employees who help the business to perform well and making profits and the Government who support Mercedes Benz because they have been running successfully throughout the years so they want to invest money to further develop the business. On the other hand, I will make the following points in my report is by commenting on the level of influence that each stakeholder exerts on Mercedes Benz. I will also be referring to evidence from different sources for the comments that I make. I will state the strengths and the weaknesses on the influence of different stakeholders. Also, I will make recommendations on how Mercedes Benz can do to overcome the weaknesses which can affect their performance. At the end I will write a conclusion by summarising what I wrote in the report, which stakeholders have the most influence and which stakeholders have the least influence in Mercedes Benz.

Founded in 1917, the BMW Group is now one of the ten largest car manufacturers in the world and, with its BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands, possesses three of the strongest premium brands in the car industry. The group also has a strong market position in the motorcycle sector and operates a successful financial services business.
The purpose of this essay is to provide a complete analysis of BMW Group. First, some background information about the company will be provided for a better comprehension of this study. Next, BMW will be assessed from a microeconomic point of view: its demand curve, organisational structure, customers, suppliers, strengths, weaknesses and its operating environment. Then, this firm will be reviewed in context of its sector from a macroeconomic perspective and more specifically its market environment, followed by a PEST analysis of other external factors such as GDP, interest rate, cost of raw materials. As a result of the increased demand of cars, the competition among car companies is becoming intense. Although the market of car is the biggest growing market in the world, there are still some companies who make cars failing year after year. However, there are some outstanding car companies such as The BMW Group performing distinctly.
BMW marketing veers towards standardization rather than towards adaptation although it has a combination of both. The aesthetics for instance on its websites and the rest of its marketing mix are similar on all its material reflecting standardization. The classic design accords with the image of the company and does not differentiate according to specific country. So, for instance, users switching from the Taiwanese website to the American one will find the same design. The dominant colors of BMW, too - blue, black, silver and grey- remained the same regardless of country, and the pictures are the same too
1) The buyer decision process of traditional Porsche customers relies on the motivations that determine these people to select this brand. Their purchasing decision process is based on the exclusivity of the brand that is connected with the car owner. In their opinion, by purchasing a Porsche, traditional customers purchase the exclusivity and luxury associated with the brand. These customers want to purchase a car that reflects their social status and their financial power. In addition to this, they are not interested in the utility of the car, but in the characteristics that differentiate it from utility cars. These traditional buyers are rather interested in their feeling while driving a Porsche in comparison with the size, price, or fuel economy of the car.
BMW is currently the 1st most valuable car brand in the world and the 23rd most valuable brand in the world; in 2011 it was the 2nd right behind Toyota. BMW’s brand value increased 10% while Toyota’s brand value decreased by 10%. It currently own “Rolls-Royce Motor Cars” which is a British manufacturer of luxury automobiles and “MINI” which is a British automotive marque which specializes in small cars.
BMW's strategy for value creation lies in its meticulous engineering, including design and styling. BMW designers pride themselves in delivering the unique styling that BMW is known for. They strive for designs that generate emotions "Works of art". This is evident in the fact that many of the designers came from art or industrial design schools. The current design process involves two full size clay models which are extremely costly and time consuming. However, the use of clay models provides a visual representation of the final product that many felt irreplaceable. By being able to physically see and touch a model of the final product the model can be handcrafted to make the slightest details apparent. Once the models are complete they are captured digitally by a laser scanner and brought into a Computer Aided Design (CAD) System.
BMW (U.S) Holding Corporation is a franchise of the high-end performance based global automotive company BMW. For the first time in its history, BMW is to launch its first American made car, the BMW Z3 Roadster. Having only made cars in Germany, this time the car is to be assembled in Spartanburg, South Carolina. BMW’s objective is to expand its market share in the U.S., make the brand name more global and improve its dealer network. With this in mind, the company developed a two phases launch plan for the BMW Z3 Roadster.
