History of Brazil
In what today is one of the most beautiful places in the world? Brazil is an attraction for many tourist and foreigners. Coming about from indigenous people in Brazil, the Europeans had arrived April 22, 1500 and colonized. A man by the name of Pedro Alvarez Cabral was the first settler to colonize in the country.
Brazil brought their language and culture from Portugal. The Brazilian native inhabitance began with the nomadic Tupi-Guarani Indians. Cabral was an early explorer they began to colonize in 1532 and made it a royal colony in 1549. In 1808 the colonist fled Portugal, the king Joao VI set up his court in Rio. Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Port Alegre being the largest; with a total of 26 states. Bordering the Atlantic Ocean; Brazil covers half of South America and is divided into the Brazilian highlands or plateau in the south and the Amazon River basin in the north. The land covers 3,265,059 sq. miles, with a population of 205,716,890 and growing. Brazil is a very large country with a lot of people. In what today is known as Brazil is the most interesting and beautiful country. Brazil is regionally located in South and Central/Caribbean America and its capital is Brasilia with a population of 3 million 99 thousand. Their primary language is Portuguese being the only country to colonize out of Portugal; and primary religion is Roman Catholic. The Brazilian constitution, created in 1988 describes it as a federal republic, made up of the 5,500 municipalities, and 26 states in the federal district. Brazil is a country who practices free trade, but with access to limited partners and members. They have been a member of the Free Trade agreement since 2010 now with Egypt.
Brazil has a world rank of 122. Having an unemployment rate of only 6.8%, they are very productive. The inflation rate is 6.3% and with an FDI inflow of 62.5 billion. They are producing a 0.1% growth each year and a GDP of 3.3 trillion. Each year Brazil is making $16,096 per capita with an overall score of 56.5. They have also made a successfully notable accomplishment of free trade in the recent years.
