Bullying by definition is a form of aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or discomfort. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words or more subtle actions. [Why] Bullying has grown new outlets over the last decade. With social media outlets and text messaging added to the game, bullying is not just about getting tormented face to face anymore. Cyber bullying can include sending out mean or threatening emails and instant messages about a person, spreading rumors about someone and also include photos that a person would consider to be humiliating. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words or more subtle actions” (Bullying, 2013). People bully each other for several reasons and there are different outcomes that are a result of those reasons. People can be bullied physically, emotionally, or verbally. Bullying can take place at school or online. Bullying should be a considered a crime, but kids get away with it all the time; furthermore prevention can be used in order to keep kids safe from bullying.

One may assume bullying in schools was all too common. And of course, in the end, they would absolutely right. For whether one has been the victim of bullying or, perhaps, a perpetrator of it, themselves, one has no doubt been exposed to stories of bullies through friends and family, as much as through movies and media. Indeed, it seems like bullying itself is a theme inseperable theme from one’s childhood or adolescent experience inc school. Whether was the victim of it or not, they undoubtedly knew that it went on; were around people who experienced it; heard a parent or grandparent relay a story about it, etc. But perhaps what is so shocking about the act of bullying in schools is not, so much, the act alone, in and of itself. Rather, what is shocking about the act of bullying is the harsh reality which its seeming normality—and its popular acceptance as a fact of life—actually conceals. -----------

Bullying is an action that is very serious and can be very hurtful. Bullying can happen at any age, anywhere. Bullying is not a joke and it should always be taken seriously. Bullying causes a lot fair amount of problems that are in the world today, and matters just seem to get worse. It needs to be brought to the worlds attention the truths about a bullies mind, types of people that are bullied, and who is the one at fault. Bullying needs to be brought to a minimum, it is ruining society as a whole.

Each year, bullying affects the lives of at least 3.2 million students across the globe.  While some schools tend to look over bullying, many schools have started to reprimand their students for even the slightest act of bullying. However, bullying does not start and end in the school.  Bullying starts in the home and it is the responsibility of the parents to encourage their children to be kind and respectable people. In the times of social media and the internet, bullying is a bigger problem than it has ever been. Even though bullying has always been a problem in the lives of adolescents,  it is ultimately the responsibility of parents and school faculty to make sure bullying is stopped in it’s tracks and does not become a bigger problem than it already is.

It is up to everyone to be aware of kids who are getting bullied in order to stop it. If students at school held the example that bullying is not at all cool it would reduce greatly considering many of them copy their friends. As it is obvious many of the kids who commit suicide are so young more help should be sent out to them in order for them to escape the torment. Being that suicide happens more with younger kids that is why I feel like what we are doing now to stop bullying is not enough because many still have to do with it. If bullies saw the serious punishments it came with they would surely stop. All the kids need is someone there for them guiding them and telling them they are worth living. Some have no one in their life they can count on so giving them that love and caring would boost their

Why is it that we do not take action until tragedy strikes? A school should be one of the safest environments for a child or young adult to be in. Schools should be working harder to inforce bully free zones. Bullies are what causes students to feel that they need to take out all their anger on others, and sometimes those results are catastrophic.

Bullying can be both aggressive and verbal abuse among people that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose. Physical examples of bullying include pushing and shoving another person. While emotional bullying consists of any type of name calling, sending untrue and hurtful messages, and starting rumors about someone. Bullying can happen anywhere, not just in school but in your neighborhood and it doesn't necessarily have to occur in person. Another form of bullying is cyberbullying- bullying that takes place using electronic technology such as cell phones, computers, and various other devices. Examples include a mean text, a fake page/profile about someone with false statements or posts, and through videos and various websites. Bullying is one of the leading causes of suicides each year in the United States, thus spreading awareness about this is very important as it is responsible for taking the lives of many innocent

As bullying continues to rise amongst children of all ages, it is absolutely crucial to not only find out what implications being victimized have on a child, but also find possible ways to eliminate the negative outcomes they endure. Current research has already gathered an abundance of information surrounding the effects bullying has on its victims. One area of current focus on bullying and victimization is the health effects. Serious negative mental, emotional and physical health outcomes have been discovered. Now based on this information, researchers need to push forward and try to find ways to decrease the negative outcomes not simply look at what the effects of bullying are.

Have you ever seen or experienced bullying and the dramatic effects it has on its victims? Unfortunately nine out of every ten students have experienced bullying in school or online. Many people believe that bullying is a part of growing up and kids do not know any better. Bullies are intentionally causing mental and or physical damage to their victims, which will affect them for the rest of their lives. Bullying has shown that it can cause self inflicted injuries and even suicide in America today, and there should be no doubt that we need to protect our youth today. You hear the sad stories on your local and even national news, kids who pay the ultimate price for being the victim of bullying, death. Many stories gain nationwide popularity like the story of Jamey Rodemeyer, an openly gay fourteen year old who hanged himself due to the torment he could no longer take from his bullies. Another infamous story is that of Florida teen Seath Jackson, who was brutally beaten and shot to death by his tormentors all because his ex-girlfriend had a new boyfriend who didn’t like him. Bullying has been an old age problem since the beginning of time that doesn’t seem to be solved. No matter what stage in one’s life someone might be in; that person may have experience being the victim, bully, or bully-victim? The aggressive behavior of bullying may appear to others as an act only a child would take part in, but being dominated by someone can continue to be a victimize problem to everyone until old age. Oddly enough, there is a misconception that once you’re in college, bullying cease to exist. Although this notion is understandable since everyone has this idea that once you start college it’s like a blank slate in your life. You’re a new person, experiencing new thing, and meeting new people. But that’s not the case, if you were once bullied before; you can’t forget your past. And those who once oppress someone weaker than them, didn’t just magically stop just because they started college. The issue with bullying in college is still prevalent, but appears to be roaming around in silence. The type of bullying is still the same form, but are in different levels. Many people do not realize how serious bullying has become. If you look at statistics suicides due to bullying have increased over just a few short years. This has become a very big problem for not only the victim but the bully as well as it affect both of them. School bullying is mentally destructive to not only the victims, but bullies because of the harmful words, harassment, and physical violence involved as well as the consequences for the bully.
