Sauk Valley Community College should have a track and field team for several reasons. SVCC use to have a track and field team. Sadly, they dropped it in the nineteen seventies probably because of the expenses. Track and field is a very popular sport that many students might want to take part in middle and high school, or even at college level. Track isn’t a very expensive sport. It is one of the cheapest sports to participate in. Track and field is also very popular sport in colleges in the two hour radius from Sauk Valley Community College. Bringing track and field to Sauk will bring about 40-50 new students each year. Also, this will make Sauk become a better choice of colleges in the area, because of the distance.

I wanted to attend Marist College for their excellent work opportunities and rigorous Computer Science program in which Marist is in partnership with IBM. It also helps that the Poughkeepsie campus has a picturesque view of the Hudson River Valley and that I’m not too far away from home.

Before I turned one, I was diagnosed with a life-threatening peanut allergy. It is scary to think that when I start college I will not have my parents home cooked meals knowing that everything is safe for me. In my college search I need to take into consideration how each school will deal with my allergy. On the UCONN Nutrition site, it says that they make every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions. In the dining halls they label items with possible allergy containing ingredients, but there is always a risk of contamination (Nutrition Dining Services UCONN). If I choose to attend UCONN, they have a database online with all the food they are serving for that day and the ingredients are listed. The Culinary Development
Before I was accepted to this University back in 2012, my school took us on a trip to visit the school. When we arrived on the bus I was so excited. When I stepped off the bus, I knew that this school was made for me. The way the school looked to the way they operated fit me. The operation of the school is very easy to learn and easy to adapt to. The operation included easy access to counselors for first year students as well as transfer students. This is very helpful for the students who are new to school and do not have anyone to show them around, like I did not. I also loved the way they had Freshman’s in particular dorms
