How would you bridge the gap?
Create coalition between senior partners and junior employees
The current structure at Terra Nova does not really encourage a good collaboration between senior partners and young members of the firm. In order to foster a better relationship that focuses on collaboration, sharing knowledge and support, I would create a coalition between senior partners and juniors. This coalition could be in the form of an associate program.

Pairing can be based on expertise or working field of both the junior employee and the senior partner. In pairs they can work on projects, work with the same clients and build a professional working relation.
This associate program will provide a supportive relationship that will make juniors feel more appreciated and thus nurture their relationship with the company. This action can lead to a better commitment of the juniors, which will result in more investments. This action does not only solve the cultural problem but also tackles the financial problem as well.
Thinking about the various change models/processes in the literature, discuss how the various models could be used to change Terra Nova. Selecting one of these models as the best option, how would you make this a “Great” company?

Partnership working has been shown to have benefits for staff; it has been found to give more clarity regarding roles and responsibilities and is also linked with lower levels of stress.
A first year student has greatly been influenced and encouraged by being surrounded by peers like her culturally.
It points out the differences of delegation and assignment. Delegation is about giving a task to someone from the scope of practice of the person who’s delegating. Assignment is described as giving someone a task that is within their scope of practice. To have successful delegation, there needs to be good employee relationship and communication. A unit base scenario is when nurses are delegating tasks to various UAPs who are at the same time are completing other delegations from nurses. There is lack of communication and poor delegation skills in a unit base scenario. Delegation with pairing, is about having one person that they’re able to delegate to. With pairing, the nurse during a shift will have one designated person whom they’ll delegate to. Partnering is the best way for delegation. Partnering allows for organized delegated patient cares. In partnering, a nurse is only delegating to one UAP, where they’ll be together every shift they work. Being partnered with the same person UAP builds trust, strong communication, and meets delegation
A partnership is an arrangement between two or more groups, organizations or individuals to work together
Page 6 - 1.3 - Describe the importance and benefits of valuing and promoting cultural
Culture plays a significant role in defining our identity and worldview. For newcomers, culture is the primary frame that shapes their interaction with other newcomers and with established residents in their new community. This interaction can occur anywhere and
1.To improve my understanding of different cultures I could study them on the Internet or in person through experience such as travel and I can also engage in events and local groups that celebrate different cultures such as multicultural gatherings and festivals.
Partnership is when two or more organisations work together, showing cooperation and collaboration. This can provide better care and support for service users. For example, different funds working together, instead of working individually and stressing. Another example, a social worker and the health visitor will need to work together, share ideas and use different skills to develop a support plan that will benefit children and families. This also promotes multi-disciplinary working. Partnership thus can reduce conflicts and enhance team working skills as professionals can work together, sharing responsibilities and ensuring need led approaches are met and set. This can be done by reviewing care plans and offering support.
When we think of culture, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Many of us begin to envision how certain people or countries carry themselves in their daily routines. Whether it is in the way they cook, dress, celebrate certain holidays, or just other beliefs in general. Picture a country that at one-point war was so bad and constant that is was normal for women to cook for soldiers who are passing by their homes. It isn’t frowned upon to have a corrupted government because that is something they have had to deal with since their independence, and children as young as the age of seven are militants walking around with weapons in their hands, becoming social terrors. At least during the 1980’s
Choosing a change model can be difficult for an organization. The company must ensure that the model it chooses will help them make the smoothest transition possible for everyone involved. The chosen change model must also help the company reach its goal within the time frame the company needs to have changes made.
An example of the way I promote a caring and culturally respectful attitude within the
1. Terra Nova is currently at a turning point in the company’s timeline. Until recently, the company has been successful and growing and a leader in its industry. The financial downturns the company is currently experiencing are due to the complacency that started in top management and, in order to fix this situation, there must be multiple changes made. There is a large social disconnect between the younger and more senior members of the firm. Although Terra Nova has a hierarchical structure based on skill and demonstrated results, in recent years the senior partners received more support from the company leaders and benefits while the junior professionals feel undervalued and unappreciated. Because of
This method will help them find and appreciate possibilities together for pursuing enduring resolutions that will positively impact communities, future generations and the company. It will also ensure that both the company and the communities will always understand each other 's interests, issues, needs and concerns. Also, they support programs and institutions that contribute to building an educated and engaged workforce7. This enriches the individual’s skills and also provides skilled workforce for the company as they will be operating in a knowledge and skill rich environment.
Youth is the main target of Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong, from pre-primary level to University level. The organization targets young people because it aims to train tomorrow’s leaders who care with the community, environment and animals as well as are equipped with civic responsibility, environmental stewardship, and peace.
TerraCog has many tensions that are causing the company to suffer. The company has an unstable executive team that lacks true leadership, there are no clear departmental or individual objectives, group structure is lacking, the team lacks a decision making process, and there are many team conflicts that lacks negotiating.
